Author of Blood of Tyrants: George Washington & the Forging of the Presidency

“What would George Washington do if he were here today?”—based on what he and fellow founders actually did 225 years ago!

Blood of Tyrants provides groundbreaking details on how our first Commander in Chief dealt with the issues still facing us in the present: including military tribunals, torture, traitors, treason, drones, enemy combatants, political partisanship, Congressional meddling, government debt crisis, and let’s not forget, sex scandals.

Drawing directly from the papers of George Washington and his contemporaries, Beirne creates a living history that dispels common misperceptions about our founding fathers and tells us how they would handle our present crises and forge America’s future.

Here’s the short list—According to Beirne, Washington would have:

COMMENCED impeachment proceedings over the IRS partisanship, Libya, and AP spying.

RESPONDED with force to the first sign of trouble in Benghazi.

TREATED debt repayment as a moral obligation and our top domestic priority.

STAYED OUT of Syria and allowed our enemies to kill one another.

EXECUTED bin Laden’s son-in-law rather than provide him with a civilian trial.

TORTURED captured foreign enemy combatants, if it meant saving American lives.

EXECUTED Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Guantanamo years ago.

The top ten foods for protection from estrogen are:
Number 1) Cruciferous vegetables. Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, bok choy and Brussels sprouts. If I was a woman I’d be doing cruciferous veggies on a daily basis. The one knock and the cruciferous veggies is their affect on the thyroid. Some folks who are dealing with thyroid health issues may find that raw. Cruciferous veggies may have a negative effect on the thyroid. If you slighhly6 stem your veggies, for most folks that should take care of the problem.

Number 2) Citrus lemons, limes, grapefruits, oranges. Chemical in these fruits called flavanoids have some tremendous anti estrogenic affects, especially when it comes to cancer protection. Especially for female cancer like breast and uterine cancer. Their tasty cheap and readily available and like the cruciferous veggies, there’s no reason not to be enjoying them on a daily basis.

Number 3) Onion and Garlic. Like the citrus fruits these versatile veggies are loaded with estrogen protecting flavanoids, especially something called Quercetin. They support liver health and can boost the immune system too. They work well in combination with other flavanoids so use onions and garlic with the cruciferous veggies and citrus fruits for a nice immune boosting anti estrogenic salad or soup.

Number 4) Raw nuts and seeds both of which are sources of something called sterols which have protective affects against estrogen and may help promote production of estrogens opposing hormones progesterone. Sterols can also support testosterone production in men and if you’re a guy and you’re starting to notice that you’re going to the bathroom more than once or twice in them idle of the nite, sterols may be a way to protect yourself from prostate enlargement. Make sure your using raw nuts and seeds not the kind that are roasted or otherwise processed as these kinds of techniques can reduce their nutritional value and even produce harmful compounds.

Number 5) Olives are also a good source of sterols that can have beneficial effects on estrogen and may help lower blood cholesterol too. Olives are a good source of Vitamin E which has anti estrogenic properties.

Number 6) Turmeric, which is the active ingredient in curry. Turmeric is one of the most medicinally herbs/ spices you could ever use and if you’re dealing with any estrogen issues or you want to protect yourself from cancer you’d be wise to use curry on everything.

Number 7) Fish and seafood which are sources of special compounds called DHA and EPA which have wonderful anti-inflammatory benefits that can offset the pro inflammatory affects of estrogen. These compounds can also balance out the pro-inflammatory and pro-estrogenic compounds in most grain and cooking oils. Get ion the Ultimate EFA which is a good source of the protective essential fatty acids.

Number 8) Green leafy veggies are a source of b-vitamin and chlorophyll both of which can help balance our estrogen. In addition some green leafys like spinach is a source of powerful detoxification substances that help the body process excessive amounts of xenoestrogen.

Number 9) Seaweeds and algaes as mentioned previously are powerfully ant estrogenic. These kinds of foods are very undervalues in Western cooking although in Japan they’ve been using seaweed as a source of nourishment for millennia. I like to get the dry seaweed and use it like croutons to add a crunch to salads. Sometimes I’ll soak my seaweed in water with a bunch of garlic and onion powder and sea salt and use it as a bed underneath grilled fish or squid.

Number 10) Fermented foods like kefir, sauerkraut and borsht all have estrogenic properties. The bacteria that give these types of foods their bite can help process estrogen and can provide digestive benefits too.

Estrogens or Oestrogens, are a group of compounds named for their importance in both menstrual and estrous reproductive cycles. They are the primary female sex hormones. Natural estrogens are steroid hormones, while some synthetic ones are non-steroidal. The name comes from the Greek οἶστρος (oistros), literally meaning “gadfly” but figuratively sexual passion or desire, and the suffix -gen, meaning “producer of”.

Natural Health News — Regular exposure to sunlight – specifically ultraviolet B (UVB) – may reduce the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis.

The researchers writing in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases say the effect was found only in older women, possibly because younger women are more likely to have grown up in an era where sun exposure has been considered hazardous and where sunblocks have become the norm.

The findings are based on a large group of women who have participated in two phases of the famous Nurses Health Study. The first phase (NHS-I) tracked the health of more than 120,000 nurses from 1976, when they were aged between 30 and 55, until 2008.

The second (NHS-II) tracked the health of a further 115,500 nurses from 1989, when they were aged between 25 and 42, until 2009.

Sunlight is protective

Exposure was then estimated according to the US state of residence, and ranged from an annual average of 93 in Alaska and Oregon to 196 in Hawaii and Arizona. Likely estimates of UV exposure at birth and by the age of 15 were also included.

Rather than relying on simple geography to calculate likely levels of UVB exposure, the researchers used a more sensitive assessment, known as UVB flux, which is a composite measure of UVB radiation, based on latitude, altitude and cloud cover.

Over the study period, 1314 women developed rheumatoid arthritis. Among nurses in the first NHS cohort, higher cumulative exposure to UVB was associated with a reduced risk of developing the disease.

Those with the highest levels of exposure were 21% less likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis than those with the least, the analysis showed.

This backs up the findings of previous research showing a link between geography and the risk of rheumatoid arthritis as well as other autoimmune conditions such as type-1 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis.

Sunblock lessens the protective effect

In this study no such association for UVB exposure was found among the younger group of women in NHSII. Indeed the authors suggest that use of sunblock could lessen protective effects of sunlight.

“Differences in sun protective behaviours (eg greater use of sun block in younger generations) may explain the disparate results,” they explain.

They add that it is unclear at what stage of life the protective effect of UVB occurs. Many of the study participants didn’t move house between birth and adolescence, and there was no difference in the results for these time points.

The authors conclude: “Our study adds to the growing evidence that exposure to UVB light is associated with decreased risk of rheumatoid arthritis. The mechanisms are not yet understood, but could be mediated by the cutaneous production of vitamin D and attenuated by use of sunscreen or sun avoidance behaviour.”

Getting the balance right

UVB makes up about 5% of the UV radiation reaching the earth’s surface. Overexposure is associated with, skin reddening, sunburn and damage to the skin’s more superficial epidermal layers. It plays a key role in tanning and, scientists believe, in the development of skin cancer. Its intensity varies by season, location, and time of day.

We need daily exposure sunlight – without sunblock – for our bodies to develop protective vitamin D. Indeed vitamin D deficiency has been linked to the development of rheumatoid arthritis and multiple other diseases. Getting the balance right is easier if you learn to rely on more than just sunblock for protection. For some good advice see our article Healthy habits in the sun.

An organizer for the march in Athens, Greece, Roberta Gogos, spoke about the importance of the events in austerity-impacted South Europe. “Monsanto is working very hard to overturn EU regulation on obligatory labeling (questionable whether it’s really enforced in any case), and no doubt they will have their way in the end. Greece is in a precarious position right now, and Greece’s farmers falling prey to the petrochemical giant is a very real possibility.”

Josh Castro, organizer for Quito, says he wants to protect Ecuador against Monsanto’s influence, too. “Ecuador is such a beautiful place, with the richest biodiversity in the world. We will not allow this Garden of Eden to be compromised by evil multinational corporations like Monsanto. Biotechnology is not the solution to world hunger. Agroecology is.”

The Internet was created by the Rockefeller Cartel (the Great White Brotherhood) to decentralize sovereign identity and unite the nation-states of the world into a Global Village.

It was designed to subjugate the population of the world to the will of the Invisible College.

CYBERSPACE AIKIDO is the sole way to escape the One World Order’s agenda of Secret Seven Singularity, the planned union of artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and human biological enhancement (racial hygiene).

The most recent incarnation of the Secret Seven was the Jekyll Island Group who created the Federal Reserve as a cartelization device …

(1) Nelson W. Aldrich (1841-1915)

(2) Abram Piatt Andrew Jr. (1873-1936)

(3) Henry Pomeroy Davison Sr. (1867-1922)

(4) Charles D. Norton ((1845-1916)

(5) Benjamin Strong Jr. (1872-1928)

(6) Frank A. Vanderlip Sr. (1864-1937)

(7) Paul M. Warburg (1868-1932)

Macroeconomic forecasting already knows the end of the (their) story – The End of History and the (their) creation of the Anthropocene Age.

Our Federal Reserve has its roots way back in Seventh Century Venice, Italy, as the Lombard Banking System created by the “Vikings of the Mediterranean.”

That’s why there’s a “Lombard Street” in every major port city of the world (and many landlocked cities).

Pervasive Electronic Communication (cyberspace) links everyone on Earth into a virtual chain gang – “a group of persons chained together to perform menial or physically challenging work.”

An iPhone is an ankle shackle.

The One World Order (the Invisible College) has a thorough understanding of the ideas of Marshall McLuhan (1911-1980).

Professor McLuhan said …

“Anyone who tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment doesn’t know the first thing about either.”

… and …

“All media exist to invest our lives with artificial perceptions and arbitrary values.”

… and …

“The Global Village is a world in which you don’t necessarily have harmony – you have extreme concern with everyone else’s business, and much involvement in everyone else’s life. It’s a sort of Ann Landers column writ large, and it doesn’t necessarily mean harmony and peace and quiet, but it does mean huge involvement in everyone else’s affairs, and so the Global Village is as big as the planet and as small as the village post office.”

… and …

“It’s like the old quiz show. They were great TV bearers; it gave the audience a role, something to do. They were horrified when they discovered they’d really been left out all the time because the shows were rigged.”

Violence is a village value, and a global meeting of the minds is guaranteed to incite violence.

Wake up and realize that the Internet is Global Theater, One World Order Show Business, to make you think you’re the “character” portrayed instead of the “actor” doing the portrayal.

ZERO is the antithesis of the One World Order.

Zero is free of geometry and imprisonment inside the wheel of the Second Chakra and the Flower of Life.

Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947) wrote …

“The point about zero is that we do not need to use it in the operations of daily life. No one goes to to buy zero fish. It is in a way the most civilized of all the cardinals, and its use is only forced on us by the needs of cultivated modes of thought.”

Pythagoras ordered the assassination of Hippasus for disseminating the concept of Zero.

The One World Order worships Abraxas, the One Great God resolving the paradox of the Two Great Gods.

Abraxas was “a god believed to be greater than the Christian God and Devil.”

The Servants of Abraxas are the Aeons and the Archons.

The Bringers of Light and the Great White Brotherhood are one and the same.

The Bringers of Light were inspired by (1) Dionysus and his grandfather (2) Cronus and the symbol of the (3) Grandfather Clock they exchange in ritual.

Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) warned …

“The Saint is not fooled by the light. He is guided by the sounds.”

The Bringers of Light don’t believe they are doing anything wrong.

They believe they are about the business of saving the world, and their Great Alchemical Work includes the White Man’s Burden.

Robert Boyle (1627-1691) was so favorably impressed with the “cornerstones of the Invisible College” that when he first met them, he wrote …

“Men of so capacious and searching spirits, that school philosophy is but the lowest region of their knowledge; and yet though humble and teachable a genius, as they disdain not to be directed to the meanest, so he can but plead reason for his opinion; persons that endeavour to put narrow-mindedness out of countenance, by the practice of so extensive a charity, that it reaches unto every thing called man, and no other less than an universal goodwill can content it. And indeed they are so apprehensive of the want of good employment, that they take the whole body of mankind for their care.”

Don’t underestimate our Global Puppetmasters.

They manipulate world terrorism for what they consider the noblest of noble causes.

An 86-year-old man wrote the following poem to sum up his life …

I was early taught to work as well as play,
My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play -
I dropped the worry on the way -
And God was good to me everyday.

It was John D. Rockefeller (1839-1937).

It’s way past time for We the People to start a Visible College.

.

Our technology may be getting smarter, but a provocative new study suggests human intelligence is on the decline. In fact, it indicates that Westerners have lost 14 I.Q. points on average since the Victorian Era.

What exactly explains this decline? Study co-author Dr. Jan te Nijenhuis, professor of work and organizational psychology at the University of Amsterdam, points to the fact that women of high intelligence tend to have fewer children than do women of lower intelligence. This negative association between I.Q. and fertility has been demonstrated time and again in research over the last century.

But this isn’t the first evidence of a possible decline in human intelligence.

“The reduction in human intelligence (if there is any reduction) would have begun at the time that genetic selection became more relaxed,” Dr. Gerald Crabtree, professor of pathology and developmental biology at Stanford University, told The Huffington Post in an email. “I projected this occurred as our ancestors began to live in more supportive high density societies (cities) and had access to a steady supply of food. Both of these might have resulted from the invention of agriculture, which occurred about 5,000 to 12,000 years ago.”

As for Dr. te Nijenhuis and colleagues, they analyzed the results of 14 intelligence studies conducted between 1884 to 2004, including one by Sir Francis Galton, an English anthropologist and a cousin of Charles Darwin. Each study gauged participants’ so-called visual reaction times — how long it took them to press a button in response to seeing a stimulus. Reaction time reflects a person’s mental processing speed, and so is considered an indication of general intelligence.

Hipp chronoscope, a device used to measure short intervals of time with an accuracy of 1/1,000th of a second. Hipp chronoscopes were used to measure reaction time in experimental psychology labs in the late 19th Century.

In the late 19th Century, visual reaction times averaged around 194 milliseconds, the analysis showed. In 2004 that time had grown to 275 milliseconds. Even though the machine gauging reaction time in the late 19th Century was less sophisticated than that used in recent years, Dr. te Nijenhuis told The Huffington Post that the old data is directly comparable to modern data.

Other research has suggested an apparent rise in I.Q. scores since the 1940s, a phenomenon known as the Flynn Effect. But Dr. te Nijenhuis suggested the Flynn Effect reflects the influence of environmental factors — such as better education, hygiene and nutrition — and may mask the true decline in genetically inherited intelligence in the Western world.

This new research was published in the April 13 issue of Intelligence.

May 22, 2013

www.nomorefakenews.com

Sharyl Atkisson is the one thing CBS News has going for it. She’s the real article. As real as you can be in the current news climate, while still working for a major media outlet.

She crashed the credibility of the CDC, as it was lying through its teeth about numbers of Swine Flu cases and overplaying the fake “epidemic.”

She’s taken on the horrific effects of vaccines, to the point where her Wikipedia page, through a series of unethical maneuvers, continues to characterize her as irrationally “anti-vaccine.”

She broke key elements of Fast&Furious. She’s a hound on Benghazi, and the Obama administration’s funding of “green programs.”

Now, she states that her computer was compromised in 2011, as she was covering Fast&Furious. She’s still working to find out what happened.

From Politico:

“Sharyl Attkisson, the Emmy-award winning CBS News investigative reporter, says that her personal and work computers have been compromised and are under investigation.

“‘I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I’m not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I’ve been patient and methodical about this matter,’ Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. ‘I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public.’

“Attkisson told WPHT that irregular activity on her computer was first identified in Feb. 2011, when she was reporting on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal and on the Obama administration’s green energy spending, which she said ‘the administration was very sensitive about.’”

end Politico excerpt

Two computers compromised. Star reporter. Somebody gained physical access or remote access to those machines. Strong likelihood it started as a government response to Atkisson’s coverage of Fast&Furious. (Although, unfortunately, Atkisson should also look to someone at CBS as the possible hacker.)

All those nasty stories Atkisson’s worked on, over the years? If she ever wants to use sources from those pieces again, she’s going to have to convince them they won’t pay a steep price for talking to her.

Then, for future stories, she’s going to have to convince new sources they can talk to her without getting into serious trouble.

It’s the big chill. This is the government and its allies sending a message to reporters’ sources and potential sources, confidential or not: watch out; we’re listening in; we can make you sorry.

Since Atkisson has been working for “some months” trying to figure out and confirm where the hack of her computers came from, we can assume it was no amateur job.

The government doesn’t have to put reporters on trial for leaking classified information. It doesn’t have to mount a DOJ investigation against them. It can make reporters’ sources more timid and fearful. That works.

What well-known mainstream reporters (who are honest) don’t realize is this: if a mere dozen of them left their networks and newspapers and started reporting online and independently, they could provoke a firestorm.

The hypnotic public trust in corporate media depends on a united front maintained by networks and big newspapers: “we’re the real source of the news.”

This is a lie, of course, but it’s all about perception. If Atkisson and a few others broke ranks, a piece of the trance would crack and shatter.

I’m not talking about joining Politico or other such “reputable” online sites. I’m talking about reporters like Atkisson setting up shop on their own sites and leaving all their chains behind them.

There is an illusion that mainstream reporters need the kinds of sources for stories they can only obtain if they work for CBS or CNN or the Washington Post. That’s not true. Most of those sources are useless, when it comes to real investigative work.

The unwillingness to leave major networks is really about money, prestige, and job security. The big three. The truly vital journalistic investigations, which go unreported by the mainstream, are done and achieved without the need for the big three.

The fact that Atkisson has to spend time trying to figure out who hacked her computers shows that the mainstream is no haven for any kind of investigative reporter.

Stories are derailed, spiked, postponed indefinitely, and twisted in the world of conventional journalism. They are also hacked.

Government has been spying on reporters for decades. The CIA has formed close relationships with reporters for decades. What’s happened lately is nothing new. In fact, when the dust finally settles on this recent scandal, government will come out as the winner. Why? Because reporters’ sources will feel less confident about talking to reporters.

And that will satisfy the big mainstream news outlets as well—because they don’t really want to employ reporters who dig far below the surface and threaten to expose elite power players.

Back in 1982, when I was starting out as a reporter, I had a brief experience in this regard. On assignment from LA Weekly to expose behind-the-scenes players in Central America, where left-wing revolutions were spreading, I went to New York to do research.

I was homing in on one group that looked like it was funding fascist death squads in El Salvador and Nicaragua. I met with a man who I thought could provide me with information.

The conversation took a strange turn. He told me he could hook me up with an editor at a newspaper who needed “bright reporters.” The money, he said, would be good, much better than I was making working for LA Weekly.

I turned him down. Later, I discovered that the editor he wanted me to meet was supporting the group who was funding death squads.

I probably could have taken a job with that newspaper. I could have covered a wide range of interesting stories…but not the story I was working on. Definitely not that one.

When you work as a staff employee for a major newspaper or television news outlet, you deal with two censorship poisons. The government and your own employer.

It’s a party, but not one you want to sign up for, unless you’re excited about giving up your freedom. The money is there, and I have nothing against money, but there is a heavy downside. You’re a slave, and you know it every time you wander off the reservation and touch the electrified fence.

In a real sense, your computer is hacked the minute you walk through the door, sign the papers, and take the job.

Computer hacked, mind on hold.

Hell of a life.

This opinion is from the former taskforce chairman and leader of previous DSM editions.

Nature takes the long view, mankind the short. Nature picks diversity; we pick standardization. We are homogenizing our crops and homogenizing our people. And Big Pharma seems intent on pursuing a parallel attempt to create its own brand of human monoculture.

Turning difference into illness was among the great strokes of marketing genius in our time.

With an assist from an overly ambitious psychiatry, all human difference is being transmuted into chemical imbalance meant to be treated with a handy pill. Turning difference into illness was among the great strokes of marketing genius accomplished in our time.

All the great characters in myths, novels, and plays have endured the test of time precisely because they drift so colorfully away from the mean. Do we really want to put Oedipus on the couch, give Hamlet a quick course of behavior therapy, start Lear on antipsychotics?

I think not. Human diversity has its purposes or it would not have survived the evolutionary rat race. Our ancestors made it because the tribe combined a wide variety of talents and inclinations. There were leaders high on their own narcissism and followers content enough to be dependent on them; people who were paranoid enough to sniff out hidden threats, compulsive enough to get the job done, and exhibitionistic enough to attract mates. Perhaps the healthiest individuals were those who best balanced all these traits somewhere near the golden mean, but the best bet for the group was to have outliers always ready to step up to the plate as the particular occasion demanded.

Allen Frances is professor emeritus and former chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Duke University School of Medicine. The Chairman of the DSM-IV Task Force and part of the leadership group for previous editions, Frances’ book Saving Normal: An Insider’s Revolt Against Out-of-Control Psychiatric Diagnosis, DSM-5, Big Pharma, and the Medicalization of Ordinary Life was released this week.

I like eccentricity and eccentrics. The word eccentric comes from Greek geometry meaning “out of center.” It entered English as an astronomical description of the rotational paths of the heavenly bodies. Now it is used to describe people who are different — mostly with pejorative connotations, not often enough with admiration for their particular genius.

Nature abhors homogeneity and simply adores eccentric diversity. We should celebrate the fact that most humans are at least somewhat eccentric and accept ourselves as we are, warts and all. Human difference was never meant to be reducible to an exhaustive list of diagnoses drawn carelessly from a psychiatric manual.

It takes all types to make a successful tribe and a full palette of emotions to make a fully lived life. We shouldn’t medicalize difference and attempt to treat it away by taking the modern-day equivalent of Huxley’s somapills.

So how do we save normal, preserve diversity, and achieve a more rational allocation of scarce resources?

Psychiatrists should stick to what they do best — treating people who have real psychiatric problems — and not expand the field to include the normal worried well, who will do just fine on their own. Primary care doctors should stick to what they do best and stop being amateur psychiatrists. Drug companies should stop acting like drug cartels, irresponsibly pushing product where it will do more harm than good. Consumer advocacy groups should advocate for their consumers, not for the group. The media should expose excessive medical claims, rather than mindlessly trumpeting them.

Human difference was never meant to be reducible to an exhaustive list of diagnoses drawn carelessly from a psychiatric manual.

Do we have a realistic chance to reverse diagnostic inflation, or is the die already cast in favor of a never-ending parade of false epidemics? My rational self tells me that diagnostic inflation will win and that saving normal will lose.

But never give up on an underdog, no matter how long the odds. Every once in a while, scrawny David does pull off the seemingly impossible, and invincible Goliath does bite the dust. Who would have thought that Big Tobacco, once so seemingly invincible, could be taken down so quickly? Big Pharma is clearly riding for the same kind of fall — this emperor really does have no clothes.

People and policymakers may eventually wake up to the fact that we are not a bunch of sick individuals, each of us having a bunch of psychiatric diagnoses, cumulatively constituting a sick society. This is a myth generated by an overly ambitious psychiatry and a remarkably greedy pharmaceutical industry.

Most of us are normal enough and would like to stay that way. We can “save normal” only by “saving psychiatry,” and we can save psychiatry only by containing it within its proper boundaries. The legacy of Hippocrates rings as true today as it did 2,500 years ago — be modest, know your limitations, and first do no harm.
