We will start off talking to Dr. Jockers on his experience with digestion issues and explore many areas of natural healing.

He has developed 6 revolutionary online programs with thousands of participants.  These programs include E-guides, recipe guides, meal plans and video instructions including “The Sugar Detox,” “The Cancer Cleanse,” “Navigating the Ketogenic Diet,” and “The Digestive Health Restoration Program,” and “The AutoImmune Elimination Program” and the “Super Brain Program.”

Show highlights:

-Enabled his wife to recover from endometriosis and have a family.

-What does his family eat?  Weston A. Price formula for his 20 month old twins.

-Why do Burst Exercise?

-Ketogenic Diet and fasting for metabolic flexibility and satiation.

-Want to eat lower carb, moderate protein, high good fats.

-Typical meal is pastured meat, lots of non-starchy vegetables, loss of grass-fed butter, apple cider vinegar (ACV) on meat and vegetables, herbs, plus bone broth and lots of water through the day.  Drinks Bulletproof coffee.

-Does a 20-24 hr fast once a week.   Ketogenic diet helps with maintaining muscle mass, energy output.

-Low blood sugar is from consuming too many carbs.  Want low blood sugar and ability to use ketones so the body feels great.

-Legumes are a starchy carb.  If using if on a vegan diet, need to compensate with foods like coconut fats, avocados.

-Tasty recipes on his website.

-Do problematic digestion issues cause mucus in head and throat?  Would be the first place to look.  Mucus is a defense mechanism.   Connection of low stomach production and allergies.   Gluten and dairy problematic for many people.

-Steve wakes up with heartburn even though he hasn’t eaten since 6 pm.  Could be a esophageal sphincter not closing right.  Position yourself to be inclined when sleeping, especially under shoulder blades.  Follow his 10 tips to improve stomach acid levels.  Investigate food sensitivities.  Test for hiatal hernia.  Have a chiropractor check T6 nerves that go into the esophageal sphincter.

-If not enough acid, the sphincter can stay open.  Also get fermentation.

-Difference between ACV vs. betaine HCL.  ACV has a strong pH and will help, and is a good place to start, but doesn’t have as strong an effect as betaine HCL.

-Steve wants to put muscle on.  Create an anabolic environment with high intensity short term strength training.  Dr. Jockers works out 4 days a week.  2 days are upper body, 2 days are lower body.  Typically does burst training with weights and jump squats.  Gives 3-4 days of rest for muscle groups.  Be in ketosis at least once a week.  Muscles want amino acids.

-87 yo active female wants to improve her kyphosis.  Is a sign of bone degeneration.  Work with a chiropractor, do physical therapy, change diet.  Focus on ketogenic nutrition.  Drink lots of water.  Exercise and get motion in the discs.

-What is a corrective care chiropractor?  They focus on correcting the underlying causes of pain and building stability in the body.
