Dr. R. Geoffrey Broderick

Author of Compassion for Pets

“Compassion for Pets” is a groundbreaking, new book by Dr. R. Geoffrey Broderick, practicing veterinarian for 48 years, veterinary nutritionist and creator of Cornucopia. This hardcover limited-edition, autographed book is now available at a special introductory price.
This book uncovers the dirty secrets of the commercial pet food industry and offers enlightening and insightful information regarding proper pet nutrition for both dogs and cats.
There are many things to learn from the book, but a few “take home” thoughts include:
We will learn the difference in the requirements of the diet of an omnivorous carnivore (the dog), and an obligate carnivore (the cat).
Why would we give our pets food that we ourselves would never eat?
We must learn what pet food really is, where the ingredients come from and how it is made.
Our four-legged children should be eating the same quality food as our two-legged ones.
It is unacceptable to lose one-half to two-thirds of a pet’s life by feeding non-human-grade, toxic pet food.
These points are just an example of what can be learned from Compassion for Pets. Enjoy the reading and enjoy the better health of your pets!
If you know or have a child that wants to be a veterinarian, this is an absolute, must-read, perfect gift for them.

Dr. Geoffrey BroderickDr. R. Geoffrey Broderick, the creator of Super-food and Phyto-food for pets, is in his 42nd year as a practicing veterinarian in Huntington, Long Island New York.
He began the natural pet food movement in America by creating products that are free of chemical additives, artificial colors, flavors, sugars and MSG. “Doc” declared the commensment of this movement at the Health & Nutrition Expo at Madison Square Garden in New York City in the early 70’s.
Dr. Broderick’s award-winning formulas are sold around the world and recognized as the first pet foods that use preventive nutrition to actually help prevent disease in animals. Super-food Antioxidant and Phyto-food Chelated Minerals are two “Probiotic” formulas that represent the culmination of over 40 years of “Doc’s” veterinary medical practice as well as research and searching all over the world for the ultimate combination of ingredients to formulate a product that will ignite the immune system in animals of any species.

Show Highlights:

All-organic ingredients in Cornucopia dog food.

Your pet needs organic ingredients, just like people. Our pets give us unconditional love, they deserve the very best food, not the toxic waste of most commercial pet food.

Dogs used to live to an average age of 24, cats even longer.

Changing our attitudes to recognize the role of pets as sources of unconditional love and planning for them in emergencies. They’re all God’s children.

Cats are obligate carnivore and get kidney disease from carbohydrates in diet. Cats need everything preformed. Peas, blueberries, yucca root, and rice are carbs and are not healthy ingredients for cats. Give animal protein only.

Dogs are omnivorous carnivore. Can tolerate some carbs. Cat will slowly die if given dog food, dog will thrive if given cat food.

Cornucopia unique in listing carbohydrate percentage.

No such thing as an organic kibble. Too hard for manufacturer’s to get organic ingredients.

Dr. Broderick eats from every size of every variety of his cornucopia food of an incoming shipment. It’s not pet food, it’s food for pets.

Dr. Broderick will give a free consultation to listeners of this interview. Call 631-427-7479.

Put eggs, (raw) milk, and egg shell in blender and feed to pets. The egg and egg shell membrane are highly beneficial. Put sulfur in their drinking water.

Mix leftover people food with Cornucopia canned food to extend it.

Problems with vaccines. Do the absolute minimum. First put the dog on Cornucopia’s immune-boosting powders Super-Food and Phyto-Food. Use homeopathics to build the immunity of the animal. Delay initial rabies shot until 6 months old.

Most dogs go into heat every 6 months and bleed for a week. Disadvantages of spaying. Vasectomy for male pets vs. neutering.

Good food helps prevent heartworms. Dr. Broderick working on an everyday spray to deflect mosquitos.

If giving pharma heartworm preventives, they are not needed during the months when it’s too cold for mosquitos. In much of the US, they’re only needed during May-September.

Pet foods cause diseases. Switch foods and see what happens to the pet in a few months. Food shall be your medicine – Hippocrates.
