I’m wondering if having probiotic bacteria ferment health-food store minerals (what Dr. Tent refers to as unabsorbable “rock minerals”) would be a good affordable substitute for having plants metabolize the minerals into absorbable form and then eating the plants. I ask this since plants themselves often don’t have access to enough minerals these days and glyphosphate is chelating minerals out of the plants and soil as well. This would be an inexpensive way to get absorable minerals in the amounts we need, as it is really expensive to buy special plant-based mineral supplements. Can we just open up capsules of minerals, mix it in with yogurt and let it sit out on the counter and will those bacteria digest the minerals? Or are there special starter ferments to buy for this purpose?
