His most significant teacher was Swami Adano Ley with whom he spent 14 years. During this time, he studied a variety of sciences extensively, including the sun centric lifestyle, and ultimately graduated from Adano Ley’s Texas Institute of Reflex Sciences. If a person has a trauma connected a color, is it better to avoid that color or to look at it frequently until the trauma is healed? For example, if someone has a moving trauma, is it better to wear red colored clothing or to avoid them? Thanks for all your good teachings and help.

Doing a new exercise, like biking when you couldn’t all winter causes quite a bit of muscle soreness for a couple of days. What types of food in time helps with this type of soreness to repair and condition the body?

There is so much contrary advice out there. It’s hard to separate fact from fantasy.

I have been a fiber junky all my life. I have eaten thousands of tons of cruciferous veggies over the decades in the belief they would keep my bowels moving. I have long believed they were working for me.

Then Konstantin Mastrursky came on your show, Patrick, telling us fiber promotes nothing, except colon irritation. It does not promote bowel movements. Metamucil is a fraud!  Konstantin eats Vitamin C for regularity.

Many of these carnivores insist that an all meat diet has healed all their serious digestive problems and that they feel stronger and healthier than they ever did when the ate plants. Plants, they say, contain anti-nutrient lectins and gluten, designed to keep hungry animals away.

“Carnivore dieters” assert that meat is the real original human food, and that the indigenous ancients ate the whole animal head to tail, only begrudgingly eating the lean muscle meat on the animal as a last resort. They say the ancients had no appetite for plants except when they had no animal food.

Would Atom, Patrick, and/or Ray Peat agree?

Hi Patrick could you ask Atom is cascara sagrada toxic to the liver I’ve read conflicting theories and thought I would get good advice from Atom?

In his excellent blog titled “Vitamin D & Strong Bones”, Atom says: “The optimum wavelengths for producing vitamin D are between 290-315 nanometers.” How long would the exposure to a light source that has those wavelengths need to be in order to stimulate significant levels of vitamin D in the body? Would a light source with that narrow band of 290-315 nanometers be more effective at specifically stimulating vitamin D as compared to a full spectrum light source like the sun

Fatty neck lump: Could you please ask Atom about the above and if there is any remedy.

, my feet are killing me ! A few weeks ago, my feet got really sore, especially my heels. I’m on my feet all day, but have never had any problem. Then 2 days ago I found a pea size bump on the arch of my left foot. Yikes, it is making it so difficult to stand. Since I have not changed anything in my life for years, I was wondering if maybe I just can’t “stand something” or “someone”, or if it’s time to get moving. What do you think? Thanks

    Vitamin D and Retinol are found together in nature in a 1-10 ratio. Why? Because they are antagonists – too much of one will drive down the other. Why is this important?
    Ceruloplasmin “activates” when up to 6 (maybe even 8) coppers are added to it to energize the protein. It takes retinol to add those coppers. Vitamin D supplements obliterate retinol in the body, therefore, vitamin D supplements significantly damage ceruloplasmin production.
    Why is this important? Ceruloplasmin is tasked with binding to copper and iron in the body so it can be safely transported without driving oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. If ceruloplasmin is low, iron goes rogue, and becomes one of the most damaging things in the body. Read knighted physiologist Dr. Douglas B. Kell’s work entitled Iron Behaving Badly. Toxic iron is implicated in, well, darn near everything. The Queen was impressed with the knowledge, but she’s not sharing it with you! Vitamin D supplements demolish the activation of ceruloplasmin, therefore, it should be supplemented with extreme caution – UNLESS YOU WANT TO CHOP THE LEGS OFF OF THE MOST POWERFUL ANTI-OXIDANT TO THE HUMAN BODY. I wouldn’t do that.
    Morley has a ton of interviews where he discusses exactly this subject. One of his main platforms is to get more retinol, and stop taking vitamin D that demolishes retinol stores!
    As for people “feeling better,” smoking crack makes some people feel better, too – does that make it good? OK, I’m being extreme to make a point that symptom relief can be far, far different than root cause remediation. And it is.
    Anyone promoting vitamin D supplements that doesn’t understand ceruloplasmin doesn’t understand how vitamin D supplements impact the body. They are ignorant of a key detail.
    Morley recommends Rosita’s Cod Liver Oil and Jigsaw Cod Liver Oil for those looking to supplement vitamin D (with the 10x retinol content already included by Mother Nature!). Getting some sun exposure covers a lot. Some say safe sun gazing does the trick, too.

    Dr. Stephanie Seneff has done a lot of work surveying the literature that covers vitamin D and its precursor cholesterol. Dr. Seneff believes that sulfate cholesterol and sulfated vitamin D are the gold standard, and this sulfation process REQUIRES energy from the sun. It CANNOT COME FROM SUPPLEMENTS.
    Regard vitamin D, Dr. Seneff says that sulfated D is both water and fat soluble, meaning, it goes everywhere in the cell. Supplemented unsulfated D is ONLY fat soluble. There are places in the cell that want D, but the unsulfated D can’t get there because it can’t cross water based solutions.
    Dr. Seneff believes that sulfated cholesterol may be the “bees knees” because it creates an electrical potential that promotes blood flow in the body. One of her concerns is that vitamin D supplementation will screw with the body’s cholesterol sensors and inhibit the production of sulfated cholesterol.
    At the end of the day, ask yourself one simple question.
    Is the establishment promoting vitamin D supplementation. If the answer is yes, sit back in your recliner and ask yourself a second and third question. When has the establishment ever promoted anything that was actually good for me, and do I think vitamin D promotion, given all the deceptions outline above, is the first time they are promoting something good?

      There are no side effects as far as I know.

      Polysorbate 80 is sold in health food stores and commonly used in many foods and cosmetics.

      Anyone eating processed foods or dining in restaurants has probably eaten lots of it, and it’s probably safer than most food and cosmetic additives.

      Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw wrote extensively about polysorbate 80 in their 1982 book, Life Extension.
