      The antioxidant glutathione can cause cancer, not prevent it.

      I’ve been saying it for 25 years, and so has Ray Peat (although I didn’t know about him until recently).

      Now Nobel Prize winner James Watson is writing about it too.

      Fortunately, sulfur is an OXIDANT, not an antioxidant like glutathione.

      Here’s how you can make your sweet potato manufacture 60 percent more antioxidants.

      Shock it with electrical current.

      No thanks. I’d rather eat a chilled-out Type B sweet potato than an angry uptight Type A sweet potato.

      Hi,
      I was listening to your old podcasts and I’m more and more confused about solar time,
      you said that we are adjusted to 11:45am, so for the purpose of solar nutrition should we set time of high solar noon to 11:45? instead of 12:00?

      Considering that 1 degree of longitude is equal to 4min time (360/24), calculating solar time for a.e. New York City (longitude = 74°W) will be:

      GMT – (NYC longitude * 4min) == 74*4=296min difference //GMT >> Greenwich Mean Time
      or {where 11:45 is considered as high noon}
      GMT – (NYC longitude * 4min + 15min) ==74*4+15=311min difference

      which calculation is right?

        (Having a competent astrologer as a buddy is another way to get this information.)

        Otherwise, stick to Sun Sync Nutrition’s three basic meal times (standard for chronobiologists too) …

        Breakfast (between 7:00-9:00 a.m.)

        Lunch (between 12:30-3:00 p.m.)

        Supper (between 7:00-9:00 p.m.)

        Most circadian eating beginners are too toxic for “gnat’s eyebrow” standards, so hanging around in the approximate vicinity of the three basic meal zones is the safest way to start.

        Pushing up against the “edges” (e.g., 12:00 noon or so) is not a good idea.

        But, regarding any eating protocol, it’s advantageous to know all the “loopholes.” :)

          The “edges” are Transition Zones.

          These three Transition Zones come in handy for therapy, but are of little use for ordinary eating.

          These three “Buffer Zones” are a half-hour each …

          12:30-1:00 a.m.

          11:30 a.m.-12:00 noon

          6:30-7:00 p.m.

          Transition Zones and Meridian Times (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) are explained in my e-book When the Sun Sneezes, the Earth Catches a Cold.

            Thank you for the explanation, I would like to try eating in sync and let see, I do not have major issues for now, but if something arise (hope not) and need the needlepoint timing precision, it would be nice to know what you mean by “adjustment of our bodies to 11: 45am”.

            What I see, the biggest problem will be breaking habits (potato with eggs and beacon in the morning or apples in evening) and others accumulated over many years :).

              “Adjustment of our bodies to 11:45 a.m.” only lasts for a few days.

              The timing of our bodies is calibrated to the TRUE SUN (at local solar time), not the MEAN SUN (at local mean time standard or local mean time daylight) used for timekeeping convenience.

              The human body is indifferent to the “fake time” used to schedule buses, trains, and airplanes.

              The MEAN SUN is 12:00 noon at 12:00 noon throughout the year.

              12:00 noon for the TRUE SUN swings back and forth between about 11:43 a.m. to 12:17 p.m. over the course of the year.

              Circadian rhythms pay attention to the TRUE SUN, not caring diddly-squat about “fake time.”

              Today in Santa Barbara, TRUE SUN TIME is 11:54 a.m. when my clock tells me it’s 12:00 noon.

              Shadows are darkest and white light is purest at TRUE SUN NOON.

              The only thing in common with the TRUE SUN and the MEAN SUN is their average angular speed.

              NOT TO WORRY. I ate the Sun Sync way for decades without having the slightest clue about these distinctions. :)

              Eating On Time helps the brain download data directly from the environment, converting the brain from tape recorder to variable (tuning) capacitor.

              PS: I found the following info on the Physics Stack Exchange website …

              “Solar noon becomes earlier and then back again more than once a year; it moves 18 minutes earlier from about Feb. 10th until May, then 12 minutes later by July , then back 23 minutes earlier by late October/early November, then forwards again by half an hour by Feb tenth. So the biggest change in Solar noon occurs between early November and mid February by 31 minutes.”

      How do we get to that alpha state? Any ideas/tips/techniques/devices to enable that?

      In that alpha state is easier to heal/regenerate?

      Any books come to mind about this?

        Alpha is one of the easiest brain waves to generate by meditating.

        The more time logged in meditating, the more potent and synchronized alpha waves become.

          I assume that by “meditating” you are referring to Adano-style meditation. not just sitting with our legs crossed and eyes closed whilst relaxing a little bit lol.

            There are MANY ways to meditate.

            Swami Nitty-Gritty leaned back in his recliner chair and said …

            “People think I’m meditating when I’m actually visualizing myself walking in the rain as a child. My favorite thing to do was to walk in the rain.”

            This is technically known as a BODY-FELT-GOOD MEMORY, always a nice place to return to again and again to unite the past with the present and the future.

            Listening to The Prism-er of Love (The Sonic Colonic) is a great way to get INSPIRED.

              I do love the Sonic Colonic tapes. I listen to it everyday. Even now as I am typing it`s playing in the background on my phone.

              By “Adano-style” meditation I mean the type of meditation where u are go so “deep” that u “block out” all the sounds in your environment. U go so deep that someone would have to slap you to “bring you back to the real world”.
