Lubing Your Gall Bladder

Re: Any chance of writing a blog entry focusing on the gall bladder? What foods it thrives on, what foods have a negative impact on it, the three Associate Organs that help to set its timing etc. etc.

That’s a book, not a blog entry.

There is no specific gall bladder diet (although globe-shaped foods in all three Growth Zones are useful).

The gall bladder requires frequent lubrication with saturated and monosaturated fat.

Or a high simple-sugar diet to manufacture your own fats and cholesterol.

<>

One of the surest way to acquire gallstones is by FASTING (intermittent or otherwise).

Dieting can triple your chances of acquiring gallstones.

Your gall bladder is a jealous organ. It doesn’t like to be neglected.

It needs calories, fat, and bile salts at least five times a day.

This converts it into a zealous organ.

<>

Bile stasis causes bacteria to grow gallstones the same way they grow tartar in your mouth.

Without frequent meals, it’s difficult to open your choledocho-duodenal sphincter, and therein lies the problem (unless you’re a yogi and know how to open it by breathing).

Old school doctors (100 years ago) knew (direct quote) “gall stones belong neither to the physician nor to the surgeon, but to the patient.”

<>

Not lubricating your gall bladder can lead to one or more of three major problems …

1) cholecystitis — inflammation or infection of the gall bladder

2) cholangitis — inflammation or infection of the common bile duct

3) pancreatitis — inflammation of the pancreas

<>

What about the various gall bladder cleanses alleged to remove gallstones?

Unfortunately, they don’t.

Take a memo from P.T. Barnum …

“There’s a sucker born every minute.”

Unfortunately, he never said that, but, whoever said it, it certainly applies to gallstone nostrums.

<>

What a gall bladder cleanse CAN DO is prevent gall bladder surgery for gallstones.

The gall bladder cleanse won’t eliminate gallstones (except once in a blue moon), but it can SHIFT them.

<>

What are those pretty green “gallstones” you flush down your toilet?

Congratulations! You’ve turned your gastrointestinal tract into a margaric acid factory.

Margaric acid is also known as heptadecanoic acid or heptadecylic acid.

Margaric acid only exists at low concentrations in either animal or vegetable fat until you do a gall bladder cleanse.

<>

Folks who scoop those “stones” out of the toilet notice they dissolve in a few days.

Real gallstones don’t dissolve. You can make jewelry out of them.

<>

The gall bladder cleanse is not an easy cleanse.

One of my friends told me, “You told me it might be bad, but you didn’t tell me it would be THAT bad!”

Another one of my friends vomited blood.

I advise doing this cleanse under professional supervision.

Or at least use a “trip sitter” or “co-pilot.”

<>

Here’s the version of the gall bladder cleanse I’m most familiar with …

Take 4 ounces of olive oil with 4 ounces of apple juice before going to bed at night.

Do the same first thing in the morning.

Then drink 4 ounces of apple juice with 4 ounces of distilled water every hour till noon.

Take 4 ounces of corn oil with 4 ounces of tomato juice at noon.

Then drink 4 ounces of apple juice with 4 ounces of distilled water again till bedtime.

Repeat the first night’s 4 ounces of olive oil with the 4 ounces of apple juice before going to bed, and continue on till the “stones” have stopped evacuating out with the bowel movement.

In another version of this purge, do it for three days only.

<>

Other gall bladder cleanses use lemon juice or grapefruit juice instead of apple juice.

I have no first-hand experience with either one.

Gall bladder surgery increases the risk of colon and pancreatic carcinomas.

Eating frequent meals “on time” decreases the risk.

Charlotte N. Markey Ph.D. (“5 Lies from the Diet Industry,” Psychology Today, Jan. 21, 2015) wrote …

“You know who is the most delighted that you want to lose twenty pounds in two weeks even though it isn’t possible? The diet industry. If dieting really worked you’d only need to do it once. But the US Federal Trade Commission suggests that diets have a 98 percent failure rate, which means big money for the diet industry. If a car was likely to break down in its first year off the lot, would you even think about buying it? A company that produced such a lemon would quickly go out of business. However, in 2010, the dieting industry showed profits estimated to be $60.9 billion. These huge profits are not due to new customers, mind you; the diet industry relies on the same customers failing and coming back for more.”

According to “Hemel Hempstead grandmother auctions gallstones on eBay,” BBC News, Jul. 4, 2014 …

“Anita Crawley, 66, from Hemel Hempstead, had 42 gallstones removed during surgery two years ago.

“She said she put them up for sale ‘as a bit of a joke’, but said they sold as one lot for her starting bid of 99p.

“An eBay spokesman said the sale of ‘human items’ was banned on the site and it would remove any it identified.”

    1) “Your gall bladder is a jealous organ. It doesn’t like to be neglected. “It needs calories, fat, and bile salts at least five times a day”

A)Does that mean we should ingest fat-containing foods five times a day? Did I get that right?
B)What are bile salts and where do we get them from?

    2) Regarding the olive oil/lemon mixture at Gallbladder time
You mentioned you like the apple cider vinegar/olive oil combo more. How much of which? A tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar? How many days in a row should this be done for? Is it one of those things where you do it for a while then take a break then do it again so on and so forth?

    3) Does the gallbladder like citrus foods?
Citrus foods – do they have a positive effect on the gallbladder and the liver?

    4) Regarding globe foods:
macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, oranges, apples, chickpeas, peas, beets, globe artichokes, blueberries?
Other foods you can think of?

    Thanks

      Hello once again!

      1) Hmm…so it would behove us to have 5 different fat-containing foods each day? At the correct time of the day of course. Or have 3 complete meals and throw in some fatty foods in between those meals? Can`t figure this one out.
      2) Will check it out there then.
      3) Citrus rocks!
      4) I do love both!

Fats three times a day — one essential part of three complete meals.

Extra servings of fat probably wouldn’t hurt you — depends on your specific circumstances and tolerances.
