Screw the Golden Years #1

According to Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) …

“Gold is self-hate.”

Every color is associated with a psychosomatic trauma — red is change, orange is sex, yellow is decision, gold is self-hate, etc.

Most people envision metallic gold when thinking of the color “gold” — basically a metallic silvertone painted over with transparent yellow to get goldtone.

My mother had a skin problem, and I asked her, “What color comes to your mind when you think of it?”

“Gold,” she replied.

“Adano says that means you don’t like yourself,” I tactfully probed.

“I HATE MYSELF!” she said.

Her vehemence took me by surprise.

“Why?” I asked.

“I hate this old, ugly body. I’m not young anymore.”

So screw the Golden Years.

That goes for the Golden Age too.

And the Golden Girls.

And the Golden Rule.

And the Golden Tone.

And the Golden Bell.

And the Golden Violin.

And the Golden Flute.

And the Golden Compass.

And the Golden Elixir.

And the Golden Egg.

And the Golden Temple.

And the Golden Bough.

And the Golden Spruce.

And the Golden Apple.

And the Golden Bull.

And the Golden Goose.

And the Golden Snake.

And the Golden Eagle.

And the Golden Number.

And the Golden Angle.

And the Golden Ratio.

John Brownlee (“The Golden Ratio: Design’s Biggest Myth,” fastcodesign dot com, Apr. 13, 2013) wrote …

“The golden ratio’s aesthetic bona fides are an urban legend, a myth, a design unicorn. Many designers don’t use it, and if they do, they vastly discount its importance. There’s also no science to really back it up. Those who believe the golden ratio is the hidden math behind beauty are falling for a 150-year-old scam.”

According to the same source …

“‘Strictly speaking, it’s impossible for anything in the real-world to fall into the golden ratio, because it’s an irrational number,’ says Keith Devlin, a professor of mathematics at Stanford University. You can get close with more standard aspect ratios. The iPad’s 3:2 display, or the 16:9 display on your HDTV all ‘float around it,’ Devlin says. But the golden ratio is like pi. Just as it’s impossible to find a perfect circle in the real world, the golden ratio cannot strictly be applied to any real world object. It’s always going to be a little off.”

    According to Swami Nitty-Gritty …

“This integration with food in a time relationship is the real bond between you and the Creator. Synchronous absorption is automatic immortality. All you got to do is eat our way to immortality.”

According to Diseases of the Pancreas (edited by Markus W. Büchler, Waldemar Uhl, Peter Malfertheimer, Michael G. Sarr), 2004 …

“A high consumption of alcohol as well as the presence of cholelithiasis represent by far the majority of causes of acute pancreatitis (they jointly account for 80-90% of all cases of acute pancreatitis). In Germany, alcoholic and biliary etiologies are about equally balanced, whereas in Great Britain, for example, cholelithiasis is regarded as the primary factor (60%). Regional patterns are also prominent; inner city hospitals that take care of the indigent, often alcoholic population, see a much higher incidence of alcoholic pancreatitis. while more rural populations have a higher rate of gallstone-induced pancreatitis. While the first episode of alcohol-related acute pancreatitis affects primarily males and the peak incidence is between the age of 18 and 30 years, acute pancreatitis of biliary origin is relatively more frequent in females, the peak age range being 50-70 years.”

Spleen/Pancreas (low blood sugar) — feeling one is “not good enough.”

Spleen/Pancreas (high blood sugar) — “soured off” at one’s circumstances.

Udo Erasmus (Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill, 1986, 1993) wrote …

“The sugars category includes all refined sugars and syrups. These are: simple sugars: glucose (or dextrose), fructose (or levulose), and galactose; double sugars: sucrose (table sugar), maltose (in beer), and lactose (in milk); dextrins and dextrans; and syrups made from sugarcane, sugar beets, sorghum, and maple. Even honey and maple syrup are included. Our body digests and absorbs these concentrated sources of sugars rapidly, and quickly turns them into saturated fatty acids.”

Re: “quickly turns them into saturated fatty acids”

Dr. Erasmus was critical of this biological truth, but, considering the epidemiology of Yellow Fat Disease and what we know about saturated fat today, this is almost too good to be true.

Re: Any thoughts on borage oil?

At least borage seed oil won’t cause Yellow Fat Disease, but its amabiline content might be hazardous — the reason Andrew Weil doesn’t recommend it.

Does that mean that gold color would not be good to use on a health product for sale ?

On the contrary. The word “gold” increases sales dramatically.
