Alkalize And (Not “Or”) Die

Re: Nothing would cause over-alkalinity That’s a false statement that we can be too alkaline. Nonsense. 100%.

Vomiting causes death by alkalosis.

Altitude sickness causes alkalosis.

Salicylate poisoning causes alkalosis.

Diuretic overuse causes alkalosis.

Excessive sweating causes alkalosis. Hundreds of marathon runners have died from it.

Diarrhea causes alkalosis. There are exceptions to the rule: Diarrhea from cholera causes acidosis.

Potassium loss causes hypokalemic alkalosis.

Alcohol abuse causes alkalosis.

Milk-alkali syndrome causes alkalosis. Untreated milk-alkali syndrome leads to kidney failure or death.

Millions of people died of metabolic alkalosis due to the milk + alkaline diet concocted by gastroenterologist Bertram Welton Sippy (1866–1924) to “treat” gastric and duodenal ulcers. The diet was followed for decades. Dr. Sippy made an honest mistake, since the Assassins In White can’t make big bucks out of moo glue and bland food.

Calcium supplementation has caused a dramatic return of metabolic alkalosis from milk-alkali syndrome. (It’s still called milk-alkali syndrome although no milk need be involved.)

Magnesium supplementation has also caused a return of metabolic alkalosis from milk-alkali syndrome.

“A high level of vitamin D in the body, such as from taking supplements, can worsen milk-alkali syndrome,” according to MedlinePlus.

“By 1985 with the widespread use of proton-pump inhibitors and antibiotic therapies for peptic ulcer disease, the milk-alkali syndrome essentially disappeared, accounting for less than 1% of hypercalcemia cases. However, now, the syndrome has again risen in clinical importance as the third most common cause of hypercalcemia behind malignancy [CANCER] and primary hyperparathyroidism,” according to an article in The Journal of General Internal Medicine (May 5, 2007). Wait a minute! Malignancy? Cancer? I thought cancer couldn’t exist in an alkaline body? I read it on the internet. It MUST be true!

Alkaloid abuse results in metabolic alkalosis. According to the Clinical Kidney Journal (“Heroin crystal nephropathy, Jun. 2015), “Urine microscopy showed numerous broomstick-like crystals. These crystals are also identified in light and electron microscopy. We hypothesize that heroin crystalizes in an alkaline pH, resulting in tubular obstruction and acute kidney injury. Management is mainly supportive as there is no known specific therapy for this condition.”

That’s just for starters.

    Re: Doesn’t sugar foster Candida?

Candida confines itself to the gut unless sugar is withheld, then this fungus goes on a keto diet, gobbling up our cellular structure.

Re: So perhaps the cancer is responsible for the shift to alkalinity. Self protection / propagation?

It’s a factor, but human interference of a natural process is mostly responsible.

Cancer is an incipient organ following in the footsteps of mitochondria (a coup that worked out to our benefit),

A woman’s doctor wrote her a prescription for vitamin E.

I was the manager of a health food store, and my jaw dropped when I read it.

“200,000 international units of vitamin E a day???” I exclaimed.

    “Yes,” she replied.

“Are you sure your doctor didn’t write this down wrong? Did he actually tell you to take 200,000 I.U a day?”

    “That’s what he said.”

“I’d love to fill this prescription because we’d make a lot of money on the deal. You’d have to take two hundred 1,000 I.U. capsules of vitamin E a day, and a bottle of 250 of these capsules cost fifty dollars. But you’d probably die the first day!”

“Well, that’s what my doctor said.”

“Why don’t you call him and find out for sure. You can use our phone.”

    She did.

“He said yes. 200,000 is the right amount.”

“Can I talk to your doctor?”

“Sure.” She dialed him up again.

When he got on the phone, I said, “Doctor, about this prescription for 200,000 international units of vitamin E a day. That’s two hundred 1,000 I.U. capsules. That could kill your patient.”

    “That’s what the research said.”

    “We have vitamin E in 200 I.U., 400 I.U., and 1,000 I.U. capsules. Are you sure it didn’t say 200 I.U. a day?”

    “I thought it said 200,000.”

“Do you still want me to fill your prescription?”

“No, let me look into it some more.”

I lost a sale that day.

I hope doctors don’t make the same kind of mistakes prescribing pharmaceutical drugs.

    Re: what do you drink?

Coffee in the morning, soup at midday, and a tad of pineapple juice in the evening. (I’m one of those lucky people who had make water out of sugar, so this might not be appropriate for everyone.)

Some Serengeti animals do it, and, according to a WWII Navy survival manual, over 50% of humans can do so too.

Some Yogis/Fakirs achieve longevity by avoiding sunlight altogether.

I prefer seeking my longevity in the sun.

They lived exclusively on donkey milk, balancing the alkalinity with respiratory breathlessness.

Less earnest Yogis/Fakirs added a little rice to the mix.

Human beings just might be the most adaptive critters on the planet.

    We’re OMMMMMMMMMM-nivores!

Re: What’s wrong with black pepper?

It contains safrole and other carcinogens.

According to Andrew Weil, M.D. …

“I generally don’t let waiters grind their pepper mills over my food at restaurants until I taste it first. For a hot spice, I prefer red pepper, which comes from a different plant (Capsicum spp.), doesn’t have any natural carcinogenic activity, has a long history of medicinal use, and provides healthful carotenoids.”

S.E. Farag & M. Abo-Zeid (“Degradation of the natural mutagenic compound safrole in spices by cooking and irradiation,” Die Nahrung, Dec. 4, 1997) wrote …

“Safrole was determined using gas-liquid chromatography in some common spices as star anise, cumin, black pepper and ginger. Safrole concentration in these spices was 9,325, 3,432, 955 and 500 mg.kg-1, respectively. Black pepper was chosen to use in the following experiments. Using Ames-test with Salmonella TA 98 and TA 100 proved high cytotoxic effects due to pure safrole and black pepper volatile oil in both of them. The degradation of safrole was obvious after drying of the washed seeds of black pepper especially at 70 degrees C for 30 min or with sun-drying. Also, high irradiation doses (20 and 30 kGy) caused high degradation of more than 90% of the initial toxic concentration in black pepper. Whereas, microwave caused same effects at 75 s, but unfortunately, the powder was burned due to moisture absence. Boiling whole seeds or powder of black pepper during cooking for few minutes (1-5 min) were more efficient in decreasing safrole content. Finally, these results proved that the mutagenicity of some spices due to presence of safrole can be destructed during drying of the washed seeds or during cooking either with or without any additional treatment as irradiation. But irradiation of these species became more necessary for using in some food industries as milk products to get more safe for human consumption.”

Re: Water is bad for arthritis ???

Lots of water can worsen rheumatoid arthritis, but improve osteoarthritis.

    They’re polar opposites.

Sometimes people actually have both types of arthritis, requiring more exact measurements.

Re: Do you take vitamin D?

Vitamin D sold in supplement form is “Limited Bandwidth Vitamin D” — Toxiferol (what PubChem calls it).

Exposing whatever you eat to direct sunlight is your highest choice.

Eating whole foods (esp. according to circadian rhythms and Growth Patterns) is usually enough to stay balanced.

The human body functions best being slightly acidic in the morning and slightly alkaline in the evening — the 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Acid-Base Principle.

Getting a good night’s sleep is enough to maintain the optimum amount of acidity.

People get into trouble when they take pharmaceuticals or supplements and don’t know what they’re doing.

According to my friend Greg Whiteley …

“It’s good to stay balanced on a round planet.”
