Do Plants Need Copper?

Re: How can you tell if a plant is deprived of copper?

Muhammad Shahbaz, Karl Ravet, Graham Peers, & Marinus Pilon (“Prioritization of copper for the use in photosynthetic electron transport in developing leaves of hybrid poplar,” Frontiers in Plant Science, Jun. 3, 2015) wrote …

“Copper (Cu) is a redox-active transition metal essential for plant growth and development. The reversible oxidation-reduction makes Cu very valuable as a cofactor in several metalloproteins. Cu-proteins in plants include PC, cytochrome-c oxidase, the ethylene receptors, copper/zinc superoxide dismutase (Cu/ZnSOD), ascorbate oxidase, amine-oxidase, laccase (LAC), plantacyanin and polyphenol oxidase (PPO).”

According to the same source …

“Typical symptoms of Cu deficiency include stunted growth due to defects in apical meristems, chlorosis, curling of leaf margins, defects in photosynthetic activity and altered plant morphology (Marschner, 1995; Kopsell and Kopsell, 2007). Furthermore, because Cu is not a mobile element, it is not efficiently redistributed from old leaves (OL) to young leaves (YL), meristems, and reproductive organs. Therefore deficiency symptoms manifest themselves first in young developing tissues resulting also in reduced fertility (Marschner, 1995; Kopsell and Kopsell, 2007). Symptoms of Cu deficiency can be species-specific and often depend on the stage of deficiency (Kopsell and Kopsell, 2007). Cereals can undergo lodging while in trees wood quality and production can be severely affected during Cu deprivation (Ruiter, 1969; Voelker et al., 2010).”

Re: “Cereals can undergo lodging”? What the heck is “lodging”?

Lodging is the “permanent displacement of cereal stems from their vertical position.”

It can reduce cereal crop yields by as much as 80%.

Excess nitrogen fertilizer also causes lodging.

ORANGE is the single color spectral predominance of many bone matrix essential elements, including calcium, silicon, boron, COPPER, aluminum, and helium.

The basis of a bone or bone marrow problem is often a sex problem.

Ducks or bunny rabbits mate when stimulated with orange light, and orange-red light stimulates the pituitary-ovarian cycle in rats and rabbits.

Female guppies are turned on by male guppies sporting orange spots.

Orange is the color of the Second Endocrine Acceleration, the reproductive genital Big O-range “chakra.”

Thanks to One Radio Network for being one of the very few Free Speech platforms.

I have to pull my punches on Facebook to stay out of social media jail.

That’s why I’m also on MeWe, another one of those rare platforms where I CAN PULL *NO* PUNCHES.

Let’s sock it to the Needle Nazis and the Global Plantation!

The signal to breathe in oxygen is controlled by carbon dioxide.

Oxygen works only while breathing it, but helps shut down the lungs in the longer run.

Extra sugar, bag-breathing, and red-light exposure drive oxygen deep into the cells and prevent the minor brain damage that oxygen therapy always causes.

Yawning and stretching greatly assists in the processes of total body respiration.

Re: The jabs ARE turning folks into transhumans though? Correct?

Big Pharma has been doing that since the 1950s! Like it or not, 99% of everyone is already part Sheep-Bot.

Why is NO ONE talking about Michael Milken? Or Elon Musk’s grandfather?

When was the last time you heard Alex Jones mention Harvard Kennedy School? Stanford? Baylor College of Medicine? Wharton School?

“Give Me Liberty *and* Give Me Victory!” should be our MANTRA.

Hi Atom, when playing sports is it better for me to drink body temp water during the break rather than ice cold water as I am thinking that cold water will slow me down?

Cold water helps INFLATE weight and muscles.

Drinking it never slowed me down.

Experiemnt and let me know what happens.

Does an ice pack applied to a knee injury for example reduce the swelling and promote healing?

Yes. If you have the time and the inclination, rubbing the injury back and forth with an ice cube works even better. You can hold one side of the ice cube with a towel. Don’t hold the ice cube anywhere for more than a few seconds. There’s a nerve on the back of the knee that can be permanently damaged.

Why does rubbing the ice cube on the area work better?
So you would never rub the back of the knee with the ice cube? Nor apply an ice pack to the back of the knee?

The thin layer of cold water between the ice cube and the skin pulls out toxins, something an ice pack can’t do. You can actually FEEL the difference.

The back of the knee is the most vulnerable to cold. I’d rub the back of my knee, but wouldn’t hold it there.

How about sports players having an ice bath after the game, what does that do?

It’s mostly a waste of time … unless those athletes jump in cold water and swim “hard and fast” for a few laps immediately following their games or workouts.

This maximizes muscle recovery by dramatically reducing lactic acid.

What is the benefit of reducing lactic acid after exercise?

Lactic acid causes inflammation and muscle soreness … and long-term lactic acidosis is a cause of cancer, etc.
