When people don’t indulge in caffeinated foods or beverages, their body simply produces caffeine endogenously.

Studies show drinking coffee significantly reduces the chances of getting …

(1) Alzheimer’s disease,

(2) colorectal cancer,

(3) constipation,

(4) gall bladder disease,

(5) gallstones,

(6) gout,

(7) liver cancer,

(8) liver cirrhosis,

(9) Parkinson’s disease,

(10) type 2 diabetes, etc., etc., etc.

Soaking black peppercorns in black coffee – a “black bile” remedy – is a (perhaps) centuries-old remedy for gout.

I don’t recommend it, but if I did, I’d take it during the first half (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon) of Heart Time (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.).

Caffeine boosts sperm motility, increasing the chances of fertilization.

A popular myth has the archangel Gabriel offering Mohammed a cup of heavenly (literally) coffee, making him vigorous enough to “unhorse 40 men and make 40 women happy.”

Coffee is a brain stimulant.

It boosts both mental and motor efficiency.

Coffee was so important to the intellectual life of the Middle East in the 16th Century that coffee bars were called “the school of the wise.”

Coffee allows the brain to process “positive” thoughts quicker than “negative” thoughts, so it mitigates depression.

Coffee is sometimes called “Prozac in a cup” because of its effect on depression.

The questionable studies linking breast lumps to coffee or chocolate were never duplicated.

The studies associating coffee with pancreatic and bladder cancers were also never duplicated..

But there IS a slight increase in cancer if the coffee is made with chlorinated water.

No one has ever successfully committed suicide by drinking too much caffeinated coffee.

50 cups or more of average-strength coffee in a short period of time are necessary to O.D. on the chemical constituents of coffee, and the water intoxication would kill you way before the toxic reaction.

Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) advised drinking Cobalamin Tonic – a mixture of coffee, baking cocoa, and 100% maple syrup – in the morning.

He called it a “hormone balancer” and a “B-12 booster rocket.”

Cocoa and chocolate are now being recommended for the prevention of heart disease.

Procyanidins in cocoa or chocolate …

(1) raise “good” HDL cholesterol,

(2) decrease the oxidation of “bad” LDL cholesterol,

(3) prevent “sticky” blood by reducing blood platelet fragmentation, and

(4) act as “especially mild aspirins.”

Adano also advised …

“Take Turkish coffee one step further. Drink coffee liqueur for the esophagus.”

If you don’t like the taste of Cobalamin Tonic …

Coffee with sugar (without milk or cream) at Spleen-Pancreas Time (9:00-11:00 a.m.) is a therapy for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Coffee with salt (without milk or cream) at the same time is a therapy for hyperglycemia (high blood sugar).

Someone told Adano, “I and the Father are one.”

“Let’s go get a cup of coffee,” Adano replied. “You and the Father can be one later.”

It’s one of my favorite Swami Nitty-Gritty “Zen” stories. :)

    Liked it, Atom.
A good laugh with my coffee and Adano this morn.

I miss his sense of humor most of all.

Have an amazing day, Janice! :)

    Seen this???

Psychoactive ! … Am I taking it wrong???

Edit: After some time, I’ve concluded that this drink should not be consumed daily! It’s very powerful and can cause temporary spikes in blood pressure. Cacao has potent psychoactive properties that are subtle at first, but pretty brain-altering with consistent use. This happy brew should be consumed in moderation (like most things).

I drink over a quart of Cobalamin Tonic before noon.

For those who don’t wish to consume Cobalamin Tonic every day, Mondays and Thursdays are best for most people.

All foods are psychoactive to a greater or lesser degree.

Coffee IS a drug when consumed without protein or lipids.

People who can’t handle the slightest bit of coffee (or cocoa) often have “orange” traumas.

      Brown is “closet orange.”

But twice a week still balances the hormones for those who don’t enjoy their morning cuppa java. :)

But Cobalamin Tonic is not ~required~ for Sun Sync eating.

Eating On & In Time works for a wide variety of diets — from vegan to paleo, etc.

Hi Atom – how much maple syrup do you put in? What would happen if I had too much maple syrup…let’s say not in coffee? Picture the movie “Elf” where he puts maple syrup on everything…

    • April 3, 2019 @ 5:23 pm Atom

I enjoy maple syrup, so I use a couple of tablespoons per cup.

I was once more conservative, keeping it down to one or two teaspoons per cup.

The only difference between the Elf and me is I restrict my maple syrup to the morning.

Thanks! Maple syrup no good at night?

        • April 5, 2019 @ 9:31 am Atom

According to circadian rhythms, maple syrup is best digested, assimilated, utilized, stockpiled, and eliminated from 12:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon (an 11 hour, 30 minute optimal time window).

I prefer the non-Dutched version, but it’s no big deal. :)
