M-E-D-I-T-A-T-I-O-N (Part 4)
According to Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty, a.k.a. the Kit Carson of the Aquarian Age) …
“The initiate doesn’t practice meditation. He LIVES IT. The initiate is not here to save nobody.”
“You want to practice meditation or you want to live it? After meditation, would you clean the garbage bin? Service with love IS meditating, not practicing meditation.”
“There’s nothing more beautiful than you and me being caught in the act of being ourselves.”
“Learn to carry your own burden to break the illusion that there is a burden.”
“There are three ways to life — meditate, imitate, or push your way through.”
“Now is the ultimate moment of joy because it could be worse. There is nothing more than being now.”
“Meditation offers psychophysiological immunity to memory playback from previous lives.”
“The cell is a self-erasing tape. Nirvana is mindfulness, not an experience of nothingness, which produces biological memory forgetfulness.”
“Cardiac mantra is the ultimate meditation technique. It’s meditating Kung Fu style with a stethoscope.”
“If we slow the brain down to the rate of the heart, we will have convex vision, or intuition.”
“The owl is the intellect. The eagle is the intuition. The lynx is the bridge between them.”
“Meditation is conscious sleeping.”
“Sleep is the most vulnerable point of your consciousness. If you master sleep, the radicals can’t get in.”
“The Third Eye is a slide projector. Collective principles are pulled together to focus.”
“The ability to crystallize thoughts at will is a smidgen of Consciousness acting on Consciousness.”
“Omar Khayyam’s mistake was that he made soul a separate entity of his I-ness.”
“And Satan is the Father of Lies. Consciousness is dualistic, phenomenal. This light energy is absorbed and observed in our environment as a dualistic principle. It can be measured as a wave and it can be measured as a corpuscle. And, therefore, there is no permanency and reality in light, and God is not light, for God is sound. Therefore, the Christ Intelligence, or the conscience, is indicating that we can’t trust our consciousness, which determines its existence by light.”
“The psychic is fooled by the light inside the brain. The Saint is not fooled by the light — he is guided by the sounds.”
“Geometry is optical dimension, while consciousness is optical resonance.”
“Creation can’t take away our freedom of individuality. All consistency to uniform patterning will break you down.”
“When you’re traveling at the same speed as the bullet, no one can shoot you.”

“What do you do for a living?” someone asked Adano Ley.
“I eat on time,” he replied.

We were driving east on Richmond Avenue in Houston. Marcia was at the wheel of her car, Adano Ley was riding shotgun, and I was comfortably ensconced in the rear seat.
“Adano,” I queried. “Someone in El Paso wanted me to ask you a question. Why are red cars involved in more traffic accidents than other cars?”
Adano answered my question with a question (as he was prone to do), “How can you tell which cars are moving the fastest?”
“Uhhh,” was my brilliant reply when nothing came to mind.
“Well, LOOK at the traffic. What do you SEE?” Adano persisted.
I made several inaccurate guesses before Adano said, “The fastest cars use their BRAKES more.”
“Oh!” I interrupted before he finished his line of reasoning. “The red brake lights are harder to see on red cars. So they’re more likely to get hit from behind.”

During the winter of 1986-87, Adano Ley warned everybody not to sing, “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas,” because the sonics would produce snow and cold weather.
That kind of weather was “OK” for Siberia,” he informed us, but it was not “practical” for us to endure such harsh weather.
He had us all singing his revised version, namely, “I’m Dreaming of a GREEN Christmas.”
That winter turned out to be one of the mildest in history.
1987 became the warmest year for the entire planet since global temperature records were established in 1880.

“Is it better to be in time or on time?” I asked Adano Ley.
“In time is better,” he replied. “If you’re on time for an appointment, the other fellow may be late. If you’re in time, you both arrive at the same time.”

If… “All consistency to uniform patterning will break you down.” why eat in time? It’s a pretty rigid pattern of eating?
I can see why isolation exercises create a groove so to speak and understand why this would be disadvantageous. So why doesn’t the principle extend to eating?

Re: If “All consistency to uniform patterning will break you down.’ why eat in time? It’s a pretty rigid pattern of eating?
Not as rigid and as limited as the average person who eats ON time but not IN time.
Welcome to the Kali Yuga (Time Squared), the Age (Yuga) of Time (Kali).
Kal is the God of Time, and Kali is the Goddess of Time.
Kal is depicted as Satan, Saturn, and Father Time in the West.
Kali means Kala, or “Force of Time.”
Most folks are so caught in the Tar Baby of Time they don’t even notice they’re trapped.
When habit replaces consciousness, it’s left to habit to monitor habit.
Putting a chicken in charge of the chicken coop amounts to the same thing as putting a fox in charge.
Humans are already so enslaved to their routines and regimens that habits have become “them.”
“The lights are on, but nobody’s home.”
Even if circadian timing were hogwash (which it demonstrably isn’t), the extra foods introduced by multiple Growth Periods (ultimately there are twelve, not three) shake up food habits and time ruts.
A major purpose of Time-Synchronized Eating (not to mention, Living, Sexing, and Exercising) is to activate the “strobe light within” to switch over from Causal Time (Chronos) to Synchronous Time (Kairos).
The I Ching is a book of Kairos, not Chronos.
Illness is “a disturbance in temporality.”
Why are circadian rhythms so important to those who study Chaos Theory?
Because Fractal Time is Simultaneous Time.
Most folks live On Time, not In Time.
In Time, a watched kettle never boils because it always boils.
Although “the ideal of many philosophical schools is the destruction and suppression of time,” Eating in time frees us from the leg-irons of Eating On Time.
Succession is NOT intentionality.
“Which is most important? Being ON time or being IN time?” I asked Adano Ley.
“Being IN time, because the other fellow may be late,” he replied.
Aging bodies create asymmetry, but not the kind to live for, only the kind to die for.
Charles Féré (The Pathology of Emotions, 1899) wrote …
“We know that in hysterios the symmetry of movements manifest themselves in a very characteristic manner in numerous circumstances interesting from the point of view of automatism. I have remarked that in normal subjects this same symmetry is found again under the influence of fatigue: we find it again in epileptics after the fit. Upon the graphs which I show you we see that in a normal subject the work by ergograph does not accompany itself at the beginning to the associated movements of the flexor of the opposite side: at the moment when these automatic associated movements begin that modification of the ergographic curve characteristic of fatigue appears: besides the pneumographic tracing becomes more irregular and indicates effort. It appears that fatigue, exhaustion, may be the physiological condition of automatism.”
Maurice Nicoll (Psychological Commentaries on the Teaching of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, Vol. 1, 1952, 1980) wrote …
“G. [Gurdjieff] always taught with great emphasis that everything in time becomes mechanical. You learn to work on yourself a certain way, for example, and after a time it becomes mechanical and no longer gives you force. A change is necessary.”
According to Adano …
“Circumprocess living is spontaneous intuitive living. Point-to-point mathematical constriction is logical and limited living. The intrinsic overflow of time explains how everything falls into place and you still have overflow.”

Great answer, thanks!

Great question! :)

I have Yes, No, Maybe book and its great however it is 2004. Is that the latest edition?
May 9, 2017 @ 9:42 pm Atom
2010 is the latest edition.
The only changes corrected several minor mistakes, mostly in the Essential Oils chapter.
Tree oils often are in Growth Zone 3 because the heartwood or roots are used instead of the leaves, needles, stems, or flowers.

Thanks Atom. I just signed up to sunsyncnutrition.com so I can get the oils list there then. I like the site it’s well organized!

Thanks, James! The list on Sun Sync is definitely a corrected version! :)
