Question — I gave my dog fermented cod liver oil for 1 1/2 years, and after that time his previously normal liver markers in the blood went over reference range.

He also has a lot of lipomas now.

I was also taking it, for 7 years, and my 8-OHDG shows I’m in oxidative stress.

I hadn’t consumed PUFAs other than in the FCLO.

Is there anything a person can do to undo the effects of taking cod liver oil? Any way to get rid of lipomas?

Answer — So far I haven’t found a single legitimate case of a lipoma “cure” without surgery.

Free radicals and injury are implicated in their formation.

As an example of injury, a diabetic grew a series of lipomas where insulin was injected.

A quantitative or qualitative lack of vitamin D may be involved.

Human beings have more tolerance for long-chain fatty acids than their pets, due to a more varied diet.

Make sure your dog isn’t eating any fish scraps or added fish oil, common ingredients in pet food.

Beef with added vitamin E might be a good dog-food choice.

Maybe you can consult with a vet or “dog whisperer” aware of the pitfalls of cod liver oil and Yellow Fat Disease.

Pet owners need to be wary of the chemical feasts known as processed pet foods

The Food and Drug Administration is even lousier at protecting animal health than human health.

Thousands of pets died from melamine poisoning in 2007.

Human beings as well as their pets can eventually eliminate most of the polyunsaturated fatty acids they’ve stored over the years …


This is especially true with a circadian eating protocol (like Sun Sync Nutrition).

It’s impossible to avoid all polyunsaturated fatty acids. Keeping them to a minimum is all that’s necessary.

Coffee is especially suited for making a human cirrhotic liver lean again, but not canine or feline ones.

(Dogs and cats should avoid coffee, chocolate, tea, and energy drinks.)

Drink Cobalamin Tonic (coffee, cocoa, and maple syrup) at Stomach Time (7:00-9:00 a.m.) to “shunt” Liver Time (1:00-3:00 a.m.).

Caffeine tolerance is a measure of good liver function.

The ability to handle caffeine is used as a test for cirrhosis in several countries, according to Georgi (a.k.a. Haidut).

    What if fish isn’t the ideal food we’re told it is?

    What if fish oil — just-made or completely rancid — is a poison for most of us?

She had largely-developed breasts, and possessed also a lipoma, somewhat larger than a fist, situated in the right lumbar region. In order to remedy the asymmetry consequent upon the removal of the breast, she desired to have the lipoma transplanted in its place. Two finger breadths below the nipple the skin was divided by an incision with its convexity downward. The overlying skin was thus preserved and the whole gland removed through this curved incision. After thoroughly checking the hemorrhage, the lipoma was rapidly enucleated and transplanted into the place of the breast under strict aseptic precautions, and the skin sutured with the exception of places for small drainage openings. At the end of eight days the skin-wound had entirely healed. There was no inflammatory reaction. The wound remained rather sensitive for six months. After the lapse of a year’s time the tumor had neither enlarged or contracted, and formed a very shapely breast.”

      Indeed & YNM … :)
      He’s not totally demonizing them, AFAIK.
      I’ve just heard a sardine is the best source for DHA, so if you wanna play it safe with the DHA gurus, one or two sardines a week (not cans) eaten in time may be ok for this or other benefits that may still be there…
      But should one go with “Yellow Fat” paradigm, does that make a sardine one of the worst maybe…?
      I was also wondering if sardines would still be recommended for cachexia? (I’m probably gonna decide ‘no’ on that.)
      One thing is for sure (in my body): for sperm they are not even an also-ran! ;) No loss there.

        Sardines are a good Growth Zone 3 evening choice for pregnancy, when estrogen is required, especially during the third trimester.

        The skin, bones, nerves, and organs are the choicest parts of these little fish, not the omega-3 oils.

        Organs are removed from larger fish.

        Whole sardines are high in DNA, RNA, taurine, calcium, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, iodine, and vitamins D, E, and B-12.

        Walk big circles around sardine oil, which is being promoted for pets but not their owners.

        Vets are promoting sardine oil for cats and dogs — not their highest choice.

        It’s hard for human beings to score sardine oil in a bottle, but (fortunately or unfortunately, depending on one’s omega-3 perspective) it IS giving menhaden oil a run for the money in the following products (as of Jul. 15, 2002) …

        cookies, crackers, breads and rolls (light and dark), fruit pies, custard pies, cakes, baked goods and baking mixes, pastas, gelatins and puddings, sweet sauces, toppings, syrups, confections and frostings, jams and jelly, hard candy, soft candy, cereals, fats and oils (but not infant formulas), yogurt, milk products, cheese products, frozen dairy products and desserts, dairy product analogues, meat products, poultry products, egg products, fish products, condiments, plant protein products, soup mixes, snack foods, nut products, gravies, sauces, chewing gum, processed fruit juices, processed vegetable juices, nonalcoholic beverages, white granulated sugar, sugar substitutes, etc.

        Sardines are being spread far and wide on the down-low, thanks to corporate global agribusiness.

        How many vegans are aware that sardine oil, anchovy oil, and menhaden oil are allowed in plant protein products?

    Random question….Have you ever heard of anything to do with this…? It’s easier to get enlightened in the southern hemisphere? Perhaps to do with ‘the four winds’?

      According to Swami Nitty-Gritty, it’s easier to get enlightened in the Northern Hemisphere because the Coriolis Force assists the body’s clockwise Life Flow, and it’s easier to get psychic in the Southern Hemisphere because the Coriolis Force assists the body’s counterclockwise Magnetic Flow.
