The thumb represents LIFE and is married to the LUNGS.

The Lung Meridian ends on the radial angle of the thumbnail (Lung 11).

Swami Nitty-Gritty (Adano Ley) saved his life by biting his thumb as hard as he could to remain conscious.

He fell off 3-story building in Montreal, Canada, after asking for “all his karma.”

(He swore his Guru – Paramahansa Yogananda – pushed him off the roof.)

(1) A vocalist friend of mine prone to asthma “pumps” her thumbs back and forth when she sings.

(2) I noticed one of my clients pumping her RIGHT thumb.

She was separated from her daughter at birth and eventually had one of the lobes of her RIGHT lung removed.

(3) An octogenarian client tucked her LEFT thumb.

Her son had gone on cosmic vacation 60 or so years before, and the trauma remained “stuck” in her Body Language.

(4) One of my friends tucks his LEFT thumb whenever he mentions his younger brother.

He feels like he’s “under his thumb.”

Walter Sorell (The Story of the Human Hand, 1967) wrote …

“The thumb is the power that nature bestowed on man. It is power incarnate, the only finger fed by man’s subconscious and the only one to represent total freedom from everything to which it is tied.”

Swami Nitty-Gritty said …

“The Guru puts his thumb on your forehead, and the bulb is put in the projector. The film is the dark of the medulla oblongata. Oxygen is the audience.”

The index finger symbolizes the “fourth generation,” and “karma can’t go past the fourth generation.”

The thumb is the “fifth generation” and is associated with the “Fifth Level Master,” a Master of Sonics.

The 90-degree angle between the thumb and the index finger – when the fingers are spread – is the Body Language symbolized by the MASON’S SQUARE in Freemasonry.

Swami Nitty-Gritty called the thumb an “emanative digital electrode” capable of generating a “quasipotential electromagnetic field.”

In both Zone Therapy and Polarity Therapy, the thumb is in the Sonic Zone … and “Sonics is Life.”

In the early 1980s, I realized the flexed thumb is a duplicate reflexology microsystem of the ear and the entire body – an AURICULAR THERAPY CHART IN THE THUMB.

In a 1990 phone conversation with world-renowned acupuncturist and “father of anatomical alliteration” Dr. Ralph Alan Dale, I lied by telling him my chart was already available.

He requested a copy … so in less than 4 hours my lie was no longer a lie.

I not only drew the chart, but had 500 copies printed at a local Carpinteria, California, print shop, and mailed a copy to Dr. Dale in North Miami Beach – all in less than 4 hours.

I self-published a new version of my chart – Ear to Thumb Geometric Body Resonance – in 2001.

“The strongest and weakest finger is the thumb. If you hold it under the other 4 fingers, it’s vulnerable. If you hold it over them, you have a martial arts fist that can punch through a wall.” – Swami Nitty-Gritty
