“I have a remdesivir joke, but it doesn’t work.”
Remdesivir was “developed” by Gilead Sciences.
Donald Rumsfeld was Gilead’s Chairman till he was appointed U.S. Secretary of Defense in 2001.
Gordon Moore of Intel was on its board of directors.
So was Benno C. Schmidt Jr., the current Chairman of Avenues: The World School (“one school with many campuses, serving children from ages 2 to 18 in the world’s leading cities” if you fork over the $48,000 tuition).
So was George P. Shultz, a former executive of the Bechtel Group, the 11th U.S. Secretary of Labor, 19th U.S. Director of the Office of Management and Budget, 62nd U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, and 60th U.S. Secretary of State.

In late August it noted a disproportionately high number of reports of liver and kidney problems in patients receiving remdesivir compared with patients receiving other drugs for COVID-19. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) also announced this month that its safety committee had started a review to assess reports of acute kidney injuries in some patients taking remdesivir.”

“The most common adverse effects in people treated with remdesivir were respiratory failure and blood biomarkers of organ impairment, including low albumin, low potassium, low count of red blood cells, low count of thrombocytes, and elevated bilirubin (jaundice). Other reported adverse effects include gastrointestinal distress, elevated transaminase levels in the blood (liver enzymes), infusion site reactions, and electrocardiogram abnormalities. Remdesivir may cause infusion‐related reactions, including low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, sweating or shivering.”

Gilead Sciences own study on Remdesivir shows how dangerous it is:

60% reported adverse events during follow-up. The most common adverse events were increased hepatic enzymes, diarrhea, rash, renal impairment, and hypotension. In general, adverse events were more common in patients receiving invasive ventilation. A total of 12 patients (23%) had serious adverse events. The most common serious adverse events — multiple-organ-dysfunction syndrome, septic shock, acute kidney injury, and hypotension — were reported in patients who were receiving invasive ventilation at baseline.
Four patients (8%) discontinued remdesivir treatment prematurely: one because of worsening of preexisting renal failure, one because of multiple organ failure, and two because of elevated aminotransferases, including one patient with a maculopapular rash.
Avoid this drug at all costs.
