Dr. Joel Wallach, BS, DVM, ND

Author of Dead Doctors Don’t Lie

We apologize for the disruption of our LIVE show today. Dr. Wallach was scheduled to talk about effective weight loss, but due to a power outage in our studio, we lost the interview going into the segment. On the other hand, Dr. Wallach spent some time with us at the start of the show and shared some really cool and surprising information on what we should be feeding our cats and dogs.

Is Dr. Joel Wallach referring to Purina Dog Food. I’m asking because when I do a search for the terms he’s used only Purina comes up? Thanks, Kym

    Hi there,

I’d love to look more into your philosophy of animal husbandry, but so far all I can find are product lists. Is there another website, or link within this one, where I can locate the ideas behind such. I ask because I don’t know your product line and the idea of just reading product after product seems time waisting if I were instead able to to look at some insight and studies behind each. In addition, it would be helpful to know which products are meant for which type of animal. For instance, I’m currently looking at your sidebar. I have the option of a bunch of products, I don’t know if they’re meant for humans, cat’s, dog’s, horse’s…you get my drift. This is really not a great use of a website and its potential for assisting one in finding what they’re looking for. I would assume that as a business you’d be very interested in knowing that this site is not servicing you as well as it might.

Thanks again…and hope that you can expand your repertoire to include not only products, but links to the knowledge behind said products.

    All the best,

    kym

PS: one radio I’m sending this to you because his website contact page would not accept this query.

      kym,

You will want to contact Dr. Wallach’s website directly. We attempted to get an ingredient list of Dr. Wallach’s supplement for dogs and it is not available. This is strange indeed. Not sure how one would buy a nutritional product without seeing the ingredients. I would not.

        p.s.

It is difficult to imagine Purina is the best dog food. Really? If I were to feed a dry kibble to my dogs, would find an all meat or fish based one, organic and if not organic, gmo free.

I suggest looking into the BARF type diet for dogs.

Arthrodex, glucogel? Diamond makes dog food with only rice, no wheat, corn or soy. I give that to my dogs, raw chicken, and Diamond dog food. Chicken quarters have the meat, skin, ligaments and bone and marrow, lots of different nutrients. Never listen to vets. They are ignorant about nutrition just like MDs are ignorant. Vets are interested in doing lots and lots of vaccines. Wallach is correct that there’s a lot of animal food that’s got more nutrition in it than processed food for humans. You can get Diamond V Yeast that is beta glucan and same as the Epicor you pay a lot for. You can buy bags of zeolite at Tractor Supply, and stabilized rice bran, stuff like that. I avoid vets like the plague, tho. Vets also band together to lobby your state legislature to force people to give rabies shots, two years in a row, at doses that are too high and bring on serious permanent side effects.

Dogs need real food, and raw chicken is good, with the bones. It’s a lie that dogs can’t chew up chicken bones. It’s like eating pretzels to them.

You should get Jean Dodds on your show — about over-vaccinating pets. Truth-4-Dogs.

I think Purina is a good commercial pet food. I’ve fed it to my cats for many years, and they all thrived on it.
