Infertility: Causes and Treatment
Millions of couples suffer from infertility. But contrary to popular belief, doctors say at least 40 percent of infertility is actually because of the man. Perhaps most surprising is that the widely held assumption that men can reproduce at any age has been debunked. Sleep, genetics and age are all factors that can influence male fertility.
We hear about the contributing causes to infertility and well as treatments and their risks from a doctor at Shady Grove Fertility Center, the nation’s largest fertility program. We then spoke with Hilary Sennett. Hilary tried to conceive for 9 months before seeking a reproductive endocrinologist. She had one round of IVF, and now has 7 month old daughter.
