Create Your Own Paradise on Earth with Permaculture
If you’re interested in permaculture and sustainability, this is a show for you. Geoff Lawton lives in a permaculture paradise in Australia with only a phone line connecting him to the outside world. He lives in a straw bale house, off the grid using solar and wind power, and grows his food. Geoff covers it all in this interview starting with waste management. He goes into healing the land, using problems to create solutions. He talks about GMO’s and why they will not be strong enough to survive the natural order of things. We’ve done many shows on permaculture, but we’ll put this one way up top. Enjoy!
Geoff Lawton is a permaculture consultant, designer and teacher. He holds a diploma in permaculture design. Since 1995 he has specialized in permaculture education, design, implementation, system establishment, administration and community development.
In 1996 he was accredited with the Permaculture Community Services Award by the permaculture movement for services in Australia and around the world.
Since 1985, Lawton has undertaken a large number of jobs consulting, designing, teaching and implementing in over thirty countries around the world. Clients have included private individuals, groups, communities, governments, aid organizations, non-governmental organizations and multinational companies.
Lawton’s aim is to establish self-replicating educational demonstration sites. He has currently educated over 6,000 students in permaculture worldwide. Lawton’s ‘master plan’ is to see aid projects being replicated as fast as possible to help ameliorate the growing food and water crisis.

I’d love to subscribe to his free videos, as listed on his site, but after trying to input email and user name several times, re-loading the page, etc. I get a message that safari cannot connect. That makes no sense to me.
And when trying to connect to the help link , it goes nowhere but back to the site.
I am concerned that this not be causing a problem for others, as well.
thankyou

I participated Geoff’s PDC course last year and it has change my way of thinking. Implementing the recommended designs have been rewarding and I highly recommend the course to learn how. I give hints of this knowlefge to my friends, and they are intriqued to ask questions.. Thanks to the host for such insightful questions as well!
There is great hope for the future.
