Danny and Wanda King
Deep South Homesteading
Danny and Wanda King own a 10 acre homestead in south MS about 30 miles north of the MS Gulf Coast. They raise chickens, mini Dexter cows, and 90% of their food here and preserve it. They have several conventional row gardens, raised beds, hugelkultur bed, containers and 3 greenhouses. The Kings have almost any variety of fruit and berries and several nut trees growing there. Dany and Wanda teach how to grow and preserve vegetables and fruits as well how to cook the food that they have preserved and simply live off the land. They are building an off grid cabin that will soon be run by solar panels. Deep South Homestead is your Southern Hospitality homestead. https://www.youtube.com/embed/HTkaKJW_4xM?feature=oembed

Hey guys, we absolutely love your show and your concept of living off of the land. You share what is almost lost. What fertilizers do you recommend for gardens and what amendments do you add to your soil?
