Heres a simple proactive way to determine if your body likes or dislikes a particular food. In the morning prior to exercising and moving around a great deal sit quietly for a few moments and take your pulse.
Use your index and middle finger of right hand on the artery closest to the outside of wrist just felow the base fo the hand. Experiment, you’ll find the obvious spot to gently press and feel the pulsing blood. Count the beats for exactly ten seconds and multiply by 6 for pulse rate. Say it is 65.
Take a normal portion of food you want to test, for example a cow dairy product like milk or yogurt. After thrity minutes, again without a lot of excessive movement that can skew the test, again take your pulse rate.
If the pulse has gone up 10%, in this case that would be about 72 beats per minute, then there is an excellent possibility for one reason or another this is other than the best food for you. It this is a food you have regularly been eating, try eliminating it completely for 30 days and see what you experience. The experience will be unique. In some cases you’ll feel better, stronger etc. and in some cases you may feel a bit worse from time to time which can mean the elimination of this suspect food has alleviated a stress ont he body and it is cleansing or normalizing and sometimes that process makes us feel a bit worse. This is sometimes called a healing crisis.
Its not really a crisis of course, but just a symptom some have of the body getting into balance. At least you’ll know what it is. Many don’t realize this and when they first get off gluten or dairy, for example, they feel worse for a month or so and go back on the suspect food to feel better.
We are called upon these days to be detectives. Trial and success is the path.
This is really taking responsibilty for ones health.
