I agree, the flat earth theory is just silly. Copernicus and Galileo must be rolling in their graves. The reason the earth-centric model was abandoned is because it simply doesn’t work for astronomy and navigation and requires a complete abandonment of basic mathematics, geometry and physics. And the concept that it gets dark at night because the sun is far away is ludicrous beyond comprehension. Anyone who has climbed a mountain knows that the atmosphere is thinner, anyone who has cooked a meal at high altitude knows you need a pressure cooker to cook certain foods. If you go high enough there simply is no atmosphere, the sky doesn’t need a lid to keep the air in. Once you get high enough there is no longer an atmosphere.
I suggest they get a sea Captain to come on the show an explain how far and how long it takes to circumnavigate the earth at the 50th parallel south to put this nonsense to bed once and for all. It is a very simple navigational exercise that any junior rating can answer.
These guests are very entertaining but not to be taken seriously.
