Dr. Ray Peat, Ph.D

Renowned Nutritional Counselor

Ray Peat acquired his PhD from the University of Oregon with a specialization in physiology. He started his work on hormones in 1968 and wrote his dissertation in 1972 in which he outlined his ideas on progesterone and the hormones closely related to it. His main thesis is that energy and structure are interdependent at every level.

Science is about questioning science, not consensus.

30 years before AIDS was known, population was testing positive for AIDS at the same rate.  It’s a remnant of a virus, resident in the tissues.

Used antibody antigen testing for AIDS before PCR test.

Dr. Baric’s specialty was aerosolizing germs.  Test spraying in San Francisco.

Any anti-inflammatory agent is also anti-coagulant.  Ivermectin is a complex molecule with broad-spectrum effects.  Also, placebo effects are strongly powerful.

Safety of consuming animal brain to raise cholesterol?

No effect on raising blood cholesterol when feeding 20 eggs/day to healthy volunteers.  But unhealthy had a raise.

Low cholesterol (around 140) an issue.  Thyroid converts cholesterol into protective steroids.  If intestines and liver are poisoned, can’t convert cholesterol.  Improve digestion.  Cook greens to allow digestive enzymes to work on them.  Want quick peristalsis.

Digestive enzymes are an animal product.  Be wary about whether they’re contaminated with bacteria.

Raw carrots are helpful to prevent toxins from being absorbed because of its high fiber content.  Want long shreds.  Well-cooked mushrooms and bamboo shoots, oat bran also helpful.

Oatmeal is high in phytic acid, which binds magnesium and calcium.  Get extra milk to compensate.

Any suggestions for cause and treatment of Myasthenia gravis?  Improve thyroid function.  Want 98.6 temperature and low TSH  (below 0.4).

Opinion on Astaxanthin?  Antioxidant, same family as carotene.  Too much could interfere with thyroid function.

Supplemental iodine to improve thyroid function?  Not a good idea.

Wary of non-white sea salt because of contaminants.

Mike wants Dr. Peat’s recommendations for dealing with the COVID “pandemic”.  Look at the data.

Flu didn’t commit suicide so flu deaths could be blamed on COVID.

What about soccer players having heart attacks following the jab?  Jabs are pro-inflammatory, pro-coagulation, which depletes defenses.  Boosters are more of the same.

Will the truth ever come out?  It’s out, but vaxxers won’t look at it.

Shedding after being jabbed?  A long-known phenomenon.  Maximum amount is while it’s circulating in blood stream, especially first 2 weeks.  Exosomes come out in breath and bodily fluids.

If you have a strep throat with pain, antibiotic may be indicated until the problem is gone.  Antibiotics weaken the mitochondria, don’t do the full course.

What causes the body to attack itself in autoimmune disease?  Histamine activated by estrogen, estrogen, and endotoxins cause local uptake of water, change with protein relationship with cell, lactic acid production, change in transmitter antigenic properties.

LetsGetChecked.com offers an at-home TSH test.

How to detox from the vaccine?  Treat the way you would treat a COVID infection.  It’s the spike protein that’s in both.

Aspirin, antihistamines, glucocorticoids, progesterone, enough carbohydrate, restrain histamine production.

How to protect from vaccine shedding?  Don’t be around crowds.

Toothache with inflamed gum?  Often starts with something you ate.

Taking a liquid supplement with DMSO orally – Is that safe?  Not every day.

Why is hair breaking off?  Often low thyroid.  Estrogen cream.

TSH is pro-inflammatory.  Monitor daily pulse and temperature, waking and mid-day, until it’s optimal.  Then test TSH.  Pulse at 80 improved mental faculties over pulse at 70.  98.6 at mid-day.

Does orange juice spike insulin?

Calcium and Vitamin D increase ability to oxidize calories.

How to protect from airplane radiation while traveling?  People at high altitudes have lower incidents of cancer.  Cosmic rays are less harmful than lower energy rays.  Gamma rays less toxic than x-rays.

Why does Dr. Peat disagree with Dr. Brownstein’s pro-iodine view?

Overdose of iodine contributes to near-sightedness in Japanese.

Would increasing my thyroid dose from 2 grains help with my hair falling out?

Great interview! The bran in grains is where phytic acid is concentrated. Dr. Peat should have expressed his warning about oat bran containing phytic acid. Oatmeal probable also has phytic acid, but it would much less than the straight oat bran. “Phytic acid is the principal storage form of phosphorus in many plant tissues, especially the bran portion of grains and other seeds. It contains the mineral phosphorus tightly bound in a snowflake-like molecule. In humans and animals with one stomach, the phosphorus is not readily bioavailable. In addition to blocking phosphorus availability, the “arms” of the phytic acid molecule readily bind with other minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc, making them unavailable as well. In this form, the compound is referred to as phytate.” – excerpt from https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/vegetarianism-and-plant-foods/living-with-phytic-acid/
