We discuss the number one complaint folks go to their Vet for:  excessive and chronic Scratching and biting at paws

As with our human little ones, vaccines are a sometimes difficult and unwieldy subject to delve into.  It is the same for our four legged family members…and there is much to learn from Dr. Falconer

Homeopathy can assist the animal to heal totally from most anything.  Most often, finding just the right remedy takes time, dedication and focus for the parents

Titer testing has been proven to be a safe and effective way to know your animals’ immunity ability, antibodies, to protect from “disease” that are regularly vaccinated for protection

homeoprophylaxis nosodes are used early on in puppy stage to protect against parvovirus, distemper and others without vaccines

The “chances” for rabies contact vary greatly depending on the state and location

Just how dangerous are the standard flea and heart worm protection medicines offered by Vets?

Questions that were asked and answered:  John asks about shampoos that may help with itching;  Cricket in Abilene writes

We rescued an abandoned shiatsu he’s probably around 4 years old .He seems healthy except for throwing up every once in awhile ,just out of the blue. Do I need to have him checked out, and can the Vet do a titer test for the rabies and other test? What would The Dr recommend?

Jack asks: My 8 year old Lhasa Apso has an issue with riding in a vehicle. He’s extremely nervous, which is manifested by constantly shaking, panting. From Alexandria Izzy has developed these cysts between all of her toes, on all 4 paws. I think they are called interdigital furuncles. They grow and then burst and bleed occasionally and her paws are way more sensitive then normal. It’s kind of like a toe fungus or something, as the areas between her toes seems prone to be smelly and fungus likes to grow in moist dark places.

    My Dear Dr. Falconer,
I speak from experience, I’ve been breeding basenjis for 41 years.
I had a beloved basenji that after receiving his rabies vaccine got very aggressive. This happened a week post vax. At the time my vet told me that he needed Prozac and so he was on it for 1 1/2 years. To make a long story short, he succumbed to liver damage brought on by the Prozac.
I’m positive that the rabies vaccine caused the aggression.
Another case is two of my full African basenjis received there rabies vaccine and within 3 days started to chew there paws and had lick granuloma’s that where almost impossible to heal.
Another case is my sweet Rocky, who had the fibrosaroma in his mouth,I’m sure from rabies vaccine.
Thank God, he is cancer free now after going on the keto diet and many supplements.
I really don’t want to ever vaccinate for rabies again but I’m terrified that my dogs will be taken from me because I refuse to vaccinate.
I only now vaccinate my pups at 16 weeks for the core vaccines.
I want my dogs healthy, but what do I do.

Just FAKE the paperwork; don’t poison your dogs again with
vaccines. This is the moral thing to do for sure!

Why would your dogs “be taken from you?” Just fly under the radar (don’t license, don’t allow anyone to bite a person, and keep your records that show they had initial vaccinations). You should be fine.

    Hi Kathryn.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and problems with the rabies vaccination. I have tears in my eyes reading your post. I also used to breed basenjis. Years ago, I had a beautiful black and white basenji girl. I was forced to give her the rabies vaccination and immediately after I got her home, she was sick and lethargic and not eating much. After three days, she attacked my 16 year old basenji by the throat and knocked him over on his back trying to kill him. I got her off of him, picked him up and then she tried to go after my 14 year old chihuahua was coming into the room to see what the commotion was all about. I pushed her aside and was able to pick him up before she got to him. I got her outside and she was acting crazy and vicious, trying to get back into the house. I called the vet and brought her down and she was trying to attack and bite her too. I had to put her to sleep. It broke my heart. She was a loving caring funny dog before that vaccination and after the vaccination she was vicious and out of control. Of course the vets denied that it was the rabies vaccination that caused that, but I know what I saw and she was perfectly fine before she got the shot. I am trying not to vaccinate my dogs either anymore, but it is a battle because of the laws and vets not knowing both sides of the story. I have been argued with and threatened, but the one thing that gets me through – I love my dogs and I am their caretaker and will do the best I can to keep them safe and healthy. Besides – the vets legally cannot vaccinate an unhealthy dog. The vaccination label says to “only vaccinate a healthy animal”. Usually when you go to the vet, your dog is sick. So please know you are not alone. I know many dogs that are sick or have lost their lives due to the rabies vaccinations and other vaccinations too. Hopefully sooner than later, the laws will change. Good luck with everything! Keep searching on different websites. There are many people fighting this battle for our dogs! I have learned a lot from them! Kathy

One thing I’ve always thought about food allergy testing – for humans or pets – is that they are probably NOT using whole organic foods to test with. And if they are not, there is probably glyphosate or other pesticides in the foods they test with – which of course we should react badly to.

CABBAGE IS KING. 1) I’ve owned dogs for almost 50 years and always feed them a cup of raw chopped organic cabbage once or twice a week – and when tested they never have parasites. 2) If they pick up fleas, I feed them cabbage daily until all the fleas have jumped off their body. No pesticides, no poisons needed. 3) I got a dog from the shelter once who had giardia which the vet said required drugs to kill. I fed him chopped raw cabbage with coconut oil on it daily for a month and retested him and the giardia was gone.
