atom-bergstrom-sunAtom Bergstrom, born Gosta Ingvar Bergstrom, Jr, is credited as the founder of Sun Sync and the leading expert on a Sun-Centric lifestyle. Atom’s journey towards health, nutrition, longevity, and meditation goes back to 1955, when he first started reading books by D.C. Jarvis, J.I. Rodale, Carlton Fredericks, Adelle Davis, Aldous Huxley, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Prabhavananda, and numerous others. His exposure to the above mentioned authors instigated a deep desire and passion to understand and unlock the secrets to optimal human wellness and longevity. Atom was inspired by the words of Thomas Jefferson: “School teaches all of the branches, but none of the roots.” He sought the answers to his questions, not in classrooms, but in books, relationships, and life experiences. His quest for true knowledge and wisdom began by studying in hundreds of libraries across the country and evolved by studying with teachers and masters including Swami Adano Ley, Sufi Adnan Sarhan, Rabbi Michael Shapiro, Taoist Master Yun Xiang Tseng, and Fitness Icon Gypsy Boots. His most significant teacher was Swami Adano Ley with whom he spent 14 years. During this time, he studied a variety of sciences extensively, including the sun centric lifestyle, and ultimately graduated from Adano Ley’s Texas Institute of Reflex Sciences. The knowledge and wisdom he gained studying under a highly evolved swami combined with his emphasis on scientific research & personal experience would soon become the heartbeat of Sun Sync Nutrition. For the past 40 years, Atom has dedicated his life to the continuous learning and teaching of Sun Sync Nutrition, Time Conscious Eating, Cosmo-Chemistry, Reflexology, Muscle Response Testing, Body Language Analysis, Iris Analysis, Lucid Dreaming, Meditation and many other sciences.

-This email sparked the idea of doing a special show next Monday, November 12th. with Atom on the secrets and insights one gains with knowing the real details of the Periodic Table: Please have Atom explain in more comprehensive detail the bits and pieces of info he drops in your shows about the Periodic Table. Fascinating stuff in its organization that we should all comprehend!

-Does Atom know why a person experiencing a consistent burning, “gnawing” ache in the digestive tract would feel a dramatic increase in the pain whenever they add salt to their meals? When they reduce or omit the additional salt the level of pain subsides but still lingers. They use the Morton’s Pickling and Canning Salt that Patrick has mentioned.

-Will using therapeutic amounts of Black Cumin Seed oil and Sunflower Seed oil present an excessive amount of PUFA’s into the body, negating the health benefits they have to offer? If so, is there a way to use them that avoids this issue?

-I wake up often with my first and mostly middle finger somewhat stiff, not painful. Sometimes I can feel it a little all day. Am 70 and eat organic, no processed foods or fish and chicken one time a month. I eat on time and have a great relationship with my wife of almost 50 years..

-In the past, a chiropractor told me that the place in my cervical vertebrae that I was having problems with was the “weak” place between certain cervical vertebrae where large carnivores like lions and tigers severed the spinal cord of their prey.  Do you know between which vertebrae that is located?  I haven’t been able to find any references to this online (although you would think there would be).

-Does Atom know anything about “Nutritional Yeast” , it’s a vegan product, has some B vitamins and zinc ,tasty cheesy and you put it on your food, is it good or bad Thanks Paul…UK

-Hi Patrick: Thanks for the great show! Would you ask Atom what kind of magnesium he would recommend for leg cramps at night?

-Black pepper is one of the most popular spices in the world (not that the world is right!!!) but it’s always advised to combine it with turmeric (and other spices) when cooking for way more effectiveness & absorb ability etc of turmeric (& the others).

1) Does it NOT make these spices more effective, etc?

I know u say that it expands when wet & u think it’s really bad!!

2) What does it do that’s so detrimental?

3) Can u steer me to the solid research about the all harmful effects of black pepper?

-I’ve heard people talking about Fatty Liver Disease. Is that different from the Yellow Fat Disease you’ve talked & written so many books about

-Is regular distilled water from grocery store okay to drink?

-Years ago I researched how south Americans prepared their beans. In my version I use pinto or Aztec beans. Soak in baking soda water for 12 to 24 hours. Pressure or slow cook. Then ferment on the counter with yogurt or whey for 1 to 5 days. I eat them with a grass fed butter or tallow. When would the best time be to have these?

-Atom goes into great detail on the structure, background, the patents and more on Bayer, Monsanto and Glyphosates

-How does the body know that an apple works best in the morning

-Co-evolution and how this works.  Patrick tells of a dream experience he had some time ago showing how specific herbs were created on this simultaneously while the the various organs of the body were evolving…all at the same time

    Hi Adam! :)
I know there’s lots of conflicting info out there on black pepper (like there is on everything!!!), but I was just curious what your thoughts might be on the following article.
    (The URL is http://eattheplanet.org/what-is-the-story-behind-the-banning-of-safrole/)
“Safrole which is a unique substance in Sassafras can not be found in significant quantity in any food products sold in the united states today. On the surface it looks like a clear and simple reason.
Official Reason behind the banning of Safrole:
In the 1950s in a government study, Safrole had been force fed to rats over a long period of time and had been shown to cause cancer in those rats.
    What is the controversy?
The controversy lies in the fact that further research from a third party(Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) discovered that Safrole is no more likely to cause cancer in humans than indoor air, or tap water. The rats in the original study were fed impractically high amounts of safrole, even if you drank Sassafras tea every day for your life you would not be anywhere close to the amount of safrole that those rats were subject to. But the primary reason why the conclusion was in error is because when safrole breaks down during the rats digestive process it produces a possible carcinogen called 1-hydroxysafrole, This chemical is not produced when humans digest safrole nor are there any other potential carcinogens produced. On the contrary, some similar chemicals to safrole have even been proven to help humans protect against cancer, and safrole may do the same when consumed in proper quantities.
What is the real reason that safrole was banned?
What is the real reason that the government banned this medicinal plant? One theory is that the government wants us to forget that we have access to this free powerful medicine and food flavoring, so that they can tax us on imported flavorings. One support for this theory is that other plants that contain safrole are not banned but are imported and taxed such as Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Black Pepper. Another more popular theory lies behind the little known fact that Sassafras can be used in the production of the drug MDMA more commonly known as ecstasy. So it is possible that the government created an experiment to claim that Sassafras causes cancer, pushing Sassafras and Safrole out of our everyday lives, all to help them gain more control over MDMA production. Although MDMA did not become popular till the 1980s it has been known to science since the early 1900s. It has had many uses during that time including being used as an interrogation drug, and as a drug to assist in psychoanalysis. So we may never know why safrole was made illegal, but there are a lot of questions behind that facts and reasons that the government has given us.”
    Thx so much Adam!

Good information, Steve! There’s even a theory about sassafras and MDMA being involved in the U.S. invasion of Grenada in 1983, so the article could be correct. My main objection to black pepper is its silica content, which can form phytoliths throughout the body and gallstones and liver stones. (See Elliott’s comment below for more details.) Black pepper is a well-known remedy for a leaky radiator, plugging small leaks. Mainstream medical doctors must know at least something about black pepper’s effect on the biliary system because they contraindicate it for people taking gall bladder or liver pharmaceutical drugs (cholinergics, cytochrome P450, etc.) or drugs adversely affecting the biliary system (cyclosporine A). I don’t think black pepper is any “clear and present danger,” but I don’t think it’s any reliable type of medicine either, and is a known gastrointestinal and lung irritant. I used black pepper for years, and ended up with notable gall bladder symptoms until I did four gall bladder purges (again, described below by Elliott). I’ve written several One Radio Network blog entries about “gall” and the gall bladder (“sore bladder”), including, “Those Green Pea-Shaped Balls Are Not Gallstones,” “Lack Of Gall (Bladder) Stores Anger In the Liver,” and “Cultivating Gall In the Gall Bladder.”

BLACK PEPPER is best used by placing it in a spice bag (bouquet bag) and brewing it. Use the broth but discard the whole peppercorns. The sharp silica features in pepper can be examined under microscopy. It is not coincidental that the chef who popularized blackened fish in the South died from a gallbladder attack. Atom Bergstrom had a hand in refining the gallbladder flush used by Adano Ley. Atom originated the tomato juice with corn oil cocktail part of the flush. An attack is extremely painful, and often sends a victim to the floor. But do not despair, use cayenne as a substitute. It has many benefits to overall human physiology.
