I think Daniel went way to far and ppl need to start questioning his integrity. To say that is is ok to smoke tabaco is crazy. And I think ppl need to wake up and not just blindly follow and believe their gurus.
There a number of other things Daniel says, do not make sense, eg. ppl lacking of cholesterol. Also it shows what a hypocrit daniel is and things that ppl believe every BS he sais (again he says some good things too). He blames fruits, says they are hybridised, but it is ok to consumer colostrum from hydridized cow or use alcohole from hybridized grapes. he says plastic is bad , but a lot of his products comes in plastics.

As far a tobacco, the store brands have all been manipulated to produce far more nicotine then ever occured in nature. Also, store bought cigarettes are loaded with over 4000 chemicals including radiation. Pure tobacco should not be a chemical problem but heat is a major irritant and could on its on cause cellular changes.

Dear andy7,
I think Daniel would be the first person to say that you shouldn’t blindly follow anyone — including him.
I think the things he says make perfect sense. He gives reasons for everything he suggests. For example: he claims hybridized fruit is bad because the bred out chemicals he considers to be ‘medicines’ and increased the sugar. As for the issue about alcohol from hybridized grapes, that’s a no-brainer: there simply is no reason why he shouldn’t. Alcohol is alcohol. And while I’m not sure about the cow situation, I am sure he would give a valid reason. And as for the plastics, well, I don’t think he’s ever said anything bad about keeping dry goods in plastics. Only liquids.
I would also like to point out that this is the internet; the things he mentions can be easily researched.

I think you can’t compare home grown tobacco with cigarettes you can buy in stores. I think he’s right about tobacco.

I agree completely with andy7’s post and was hoping that I wasn’t the only one to see Daniel in this light. We have too much to lose to blindly follow someone like this. We can’t swallow up everything he says just because he is associated with people like David Wolfe who seems to be respected by most.
I’m not jumping on anyone’s bandwagon. There is something to be learned from most people that Patrick has on his show but I don’t just accept everything that anybody says.

*sigh* DV does not say that you 100% have to remove all plastics from your life in order to be healthy and happy. He simply says that you need to employ strategies that move you towards removing plastic (amongst other undesirable things) from your life, as much as is realistically possible. He most likely chose to use plastic for some of his products because he could reach a wider audience that way. You may choose to believe that translates to “more profitsâ€, I choose to believe it means that he strongly believes in the products and felt that reaching a wider audience was an acceptable trade-off. He compromised – not a very difficult concept to grasp. Lastly, just because DV makes the claim that hybridization of modern fruit has created an undesirable foodstuff, does not mean that he’s a hypocrite because he uses other products that are made possible through hybridization.
