Dr. James Greenblatt, MD
Integrative Psychiatrist and Leading Expert in Behavioral and Mood Disorders
Author of Finally Focused: The Breakthrough Natural Treatment Plan for ADHD That Restores Attention, Minimizes Hyperactivity, and Helps Eliminate Drug Side Effects
Finally, a solution to ADHD! Dr. James Greenblatt has seen thousands of children and young adults through the years who have struggled with the symptoms of ADHD such as inattentiveness, impulsiveness, hyperactivity, irritability or combativeness. ADHD is not a behavior or discipline problem, but a genetically driven neurological condition. There is not a one-size fits all approach to treatment – it doesn’t work that way! Everyone has a unique pattern of deficiencies and excesses that imbalances the brain. Correcting these deficiencies and excesses – adding what is needed and subtracting what is not – is the solution! Dr. James Greenblatt’s Plus-Minus Plan is just that! Dr. Greenblatt’s book, “Finally Focused,†is a book-length prescription and manual that provides all the background information and practical guidelines needed to confidently treat your ADHD child or yourself. This book and your efforts will be enough to effectively relieve the symptoms of ADHD, learning how to balance it, thereby controlling imbalanced, counterproductive behaviors of all kinds. If medication is necessary, his approach will minimize any side effects by using natural treatments first and medications only when necessary. This book is a must read for parents who suspect their child may be ADHD. It’s also a must read for every adult who feels they may also be ADHD as well as educators, scientists and clinicians. The Plus-Minus Plan is the solution to correcting these deficiencies and excesses. http://www.finallyfocusedbook.com

-Some of the most common excess he sees in patients is an abundance of copper and lead. He suggests zinc is necessary to balance copper and then sends patients to other practitioners for more detailed heavy metal detoxing
-The connection to the gut and all behavior is well established in science and disruption in the microbiome of the gut can bring on depression
-He finds good supplementation with probiotics does wonders for some patients in many areas of their emotional well being
-Dr. Greenblatt uses a test called “Organic Acid Urine Test” to get a good view of heavy metals
-Humans have about five pounds of bacteria in our bodies;Â The diversity of bacteria and the quality of the process is important
-Big Pharma is constantly coming up with new drugs to be prescribed. He says illegal use on college campuses is a big concern now.
-He finds virtually all people can use more zinc and vitamin cÂ
-emails, texting etc. is actually releasing dopamine to the brain, which is why we do it a great deal
