Fukushima Meltdown and Modern Radiation: Protecting Ourselves and Our Future Generations
January 12, 2012
Latest peer-reviewed article derived from Center for Disease Control (CDC) data reveals in excess of 14,000 North American deaths occurred over 4 months since March 2011. This trend indicates these excessive deaths were likely due to the Fukushima Catastrophe. For example, this trend is in line with historical data established after the Chernobyl Catastrophe. Irrefutable confirmation derived from CDC data may take until 2014, but we must know how to protect ourselves and our loved ones now. Infants were most susceptable due to their immature immune system. The most deaths occurred due to infections from compromised immuntiy, i.e., influenza and pneumonia. We must keep in mind that all additional radiation exposures multiply 9 to 12 fold the health risks from other toxic chemical and non-ionizing radiation exposures!
Dr. Apsley and Joe Mangano, the Executive Director of The Radiation and Public Health Project joined us this morning to talk about the fallout of Fukushima. What is so alarming is the lack of public knowledge and lack of media coverage. The end of the show does bring a little light into this dark room with some great and sensible ways to help rid the body of excess radiation. This was an informative show. Enjoy!
