“Hello Patrick from Melbourne Australia,
Just a quick message to say thank you and to let you know that I enjoyed your show with Dr Ray Peat immensely. He has so much knowledge across a broad spectrum of topics. Thank you so much for bringing him on and for doing what you do!!! I hope to hear more of Dr Peat in your future shows.â€
“I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your recent interviews with Dr Ray Peat. I am thrilled waiting for the next one. I have known his work for quite some time, but it is so refreshing to listen to your shows. I hope you will carry on with cooperation. Dr Peat has endless knowledge to share and each time I listen to him I find something new and eye-opening. His knowledge and perspective are absolutely unique. In the world of keto, low carb nonsense, sugar hate and corrupted science, he is the last voice of honesty and sanity.†Best regards Ania from Poland
Ray Peat acquired his PhD from the University of Oregon with a specialization in physiology. He started his work on hormones in 1968 and wrote his dissertation in 1972 in which he outlined his ideas on progesterone and the hormones closely related to it. His main thesis is that energy and structure are interdependent at every level.
Show highlights:
-By allowing the energy to flow better in our bodies, it creates more order
-Dr. Peat tells us about lactic acid and the incomplete use of sugars; cancer produces large amounts of lactic acid
-Why carbon dioxide is so important to the body
-The problem with over training
-Dr. Peat talks about oxygen saturation; 93-95% using the finger gadgets to measure oxygen, is best
-The big problem with vaccines
-Understanding how the immune system works
-Protein deficiency and PUFAs are a major contributor of thyroid problems
-Dr. Peat tells us how much protein the average person needs
-Question from a listener: I’ve got a terrible sinus issue that makes me extremely tired – it’s triggered by cold – usually cold wind, aircon or ice-cream :( I take progesterone, B3, tried thyroid and antibiotics but none of it helps. I follow Dr Peat diet recommendations – my pulse and temperature seem are fine. Is there anything else I could do?
-Question from a listener: I have half of a thyroid gland left after they took the left side out. I am currently on synthroid, but I am wondering if the other side of the thyroid is sufficient enough to make enough of the other hormones your guest was speaking of and could I benefit from the natural thyroid?
-Question from a listener: Considering that one were following Peat’s information and living as healthy as possible according to his research and information, how long does he think one is expected to live a healthy life? Also…How much damage can be undone? If living unhealthy for several decades, is there damage that is irreversible? Such as if one starts late in life with decades of unhealthy living? Does this affect their lifespan if they begin living healthy?
-Does Dr. Peat ever eat bread?
-If getting cold does negative things, how does cryotherapy work differently?
and so much more!

What is the spelling of the synthetic thyroid supplement that Dr. Peat named? Zeno Plus? I can’t find it online. Is it available in the U.S.?

We asked Dr. Peat about this and he replied:
Cynomel tablets, T3 only, 25 mcg, were originally designed to be similar to about 65 mg (one “grainâ€) of Armour thyroid, which has much more T4 than T3. Cynoplus tablets have 30 mcg of T3 and 120 mcg of T4, and so according to the old equivalencies would be about 2.4 grains of Armour, or 150 mg, but according to the new Armour label (one grain, 9 mcg T3, 38 mcg T4), Cynoplus would contain more than 3 grains of Armour.
The terminology is weirdly loose—Armour calls 60 mg one grain, but a grain is really 64.8 mg,, and the relative potency of T3 to T4 is extemely different in men and women, young and old, and the hormones in the glandular thyroid don’t exist in the tablet, but are only formed when the person digests them.
Most people do well with part of a Cynomel tablet during the day, and a fourth of a Cynomel at bedtime.
