Dr. Ray Peat, Ph.D

Renowned Nutritional Counselor

“Hello Patrick from Melbourne Australia,
Just a quick message to say thank you and to let you know that I enjoyed your show with Dr Ray Peat immensely. He has so much knowledge across a broad spectrum of topics. Thank you so much for bringing him on and for doing what you do!!! I hope to hear more of Dr Peat in your future shows.”

“I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your recent interviews with Dr Ray Peat. I am thrilled waiting for the next one. I have known his work for quite some time, but it is so refreshing to listen to your shows. I hope you will carry on with cooperation. Dr Peat has endless knowledge to share and each time I listen to him I find something new and eye-opening. His knowledge and perspective are absolutely unique. In the world of keto, low carb nonsense, sugar hate and corrupted science, he is the last voice of honesty and sanity.” Best regards Ania from Poland

Ray Peat acquired his PhD from the University of Oregon with a specialization in physiology. He started his work on hormones in 1968 and wrote his dissertation in 1972 in which he outlined his ideas on progesterone and the hormones closely related to it. His main thesis is that energy and structure are interdependent at every level.

We have quite an interesting discussion on Dr. Peat’s view on the meme that having milk an dairy products are bad for humans after weaning.

When changing to new foods, introduce them at low amounts slowly and the body will accept them more easily

Red light at night, (the chicken lights from the Home Depot), are quite beneficial, even for sleep

Calcium in milk does get stored in the right place

The TSH is a measure of stress response in the body

The brain loves saturated fat and great for new Mom’s before, during and while breastfeeding

Dr. Peat says we get plenty of Iodine in a good organic diet

Raw vegetable salads are difficult to digest.

Listener asks about pain in the feet, numbness and Dr. Peat says it is related to slow digestion as it sends toxins downward

Dr. Peat suggests Gelatin, (our favorite is Great Lakes)  is one of the best ways to supplement protein.

He explains how the whole Adrenalin/Cortisol/sleep matrix works

Potatoes are a wonderful food, believe it or not

Dr. Peat suggests that bubbling Hydrogen gas into Carbonated releases more hydrogen than in plain filtered water

Patrick, when Ray Peat is on next, would you ask him how a person could get a copy of his entire newsletter archive? Maybe he could sent a datastick for a special price, or a zip file… And, will his books come back in print?

Lucy, I would just email Dr. Peat through his site…
      I can ask too.

I inquired about this several months ago and they told me they are working on getting the archive together. I will apparently be notified once it is ready.
