Omega 3 Senility & Steatitis

Robert Daniel Whiteford (“Distribution of lipofuscin as related to aging in the canine and porcine brain,” Iowa State University, 1964) wrote …

“The presence of lipofuscin in the aging nerve cell was reported by many early investigators. According to White (I889), HUMAN autonomic ganglia exhibited pigment much more frequently than those of other animals. Hodge (I894) studied ganglion cells of MAN from birth to senility and reported that the ganglion cells of senile individuals were largely filled with pigment whereas the neurons of the fetus were not. Pilez (I895) and Obersteiner (I903) described the occurrence and histology of pigment in various parts of the nervous system.”

I capitalized “human” and “man” so the reader won’t miss it.

Human beings are more prone to Yellow Fat Disease than the average animal.

According to Nutrient Requirements of Dogs and Cats, by the National Research Council, 2006 …

“Because of the nature of the diets consumed by cats, they are more susceptible than dogs to vitamin E deficiency. Cat diets, especially canned, are typically higher in fat than dog diets and are frequently based on fish products, especially tuna, containing long-chain PUFAs that are prone to lipid peroxidation. Cordy (1954) reported that 20 to 40 mg of all-rac-α-tocopherol per day protected kittens given a commercial cat food composed mainly of fish from the development of steatitis, whereas 10 mg of all-rac-α-tocopherol was inadequate. Gershoff and Norkin (1962) gave kittens a basal purified diet containing 200 g-kg of vitamin E-free lard without vitamin E supplementation. Steatitis was not observed in any of the kittens receiving this basal diet, even in the absence of vitamin E. However, on histological examination, four of the six kittens were found to have focal myositis of the skeletal muscles and myocarditis. Supplementation of the basal diet with 17 IUs of d-α-tocopherol-kg decreased the incidence of myositis to one cat in four, whereas addition of 34 or 68 IUs of vitamin E-kg prevented lesions in all cats. When 50 g of tuna oil was substituted for lard in the diet, cats without vitamin E supplementation developed severe steatitis. When 34 IUs of vitamin E-kg were added to the tuna oil-supplemented diet, the severity of steatitis was diminished and it was totally absent when 136 IUs of vitamin E were added to the tuna oil diet.”

Notes …

1) Steatitis = Yellow Fat Disease.

2) Long-chain PUFAs = omega 3 fatty acids (DHA, EPA, DPA, etc.).

They’d be caught with their pants down if the National Research Council used the term omega 3 fatty acids.

Semantic segregation is essential.

Relevant to the Omega 3 Fatty Acid Scam , one of the evilest tyrants in history wrote in a book published in 1925 …

“All this was inspired by the principle — which is quite true within itself — that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

“It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.”

Geez! So now omega 3’s are BAD for you?!
Who do we believe! It would be greatly appreciated if your article was more direct by including your recommendations.

If I told you to avoid mercury, would you say, “What are your recommendations?”

My recommendation (singular) would be, “DON’T STICK MERCURY IN YOUR MOUTH!”

The same goes for omega 3 fatty acids (DHA, EPA, ALA, etc.).

      It’s not rocket science.

If you told a child not to stick his hand in the fire because it will burn it up, would he ask, “What are your recommendations?”

Would you tell that child to go to the medical library and research the pathophysiology of burn injuries?

      This is not brain surgery.

That stated, if you want LOTS MORE INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION, I’ve written dozens of blog entries on One Radio Network on the subject, not to mention TWELVE e-BOOKS about omega 3 fatty acids as being almost synonymous with AGING, X-RAYS, and every age-related disease from A to Z.

Set aside a few weeks to peruse all my material on the subject.

Or remain one of the hapless victims of one of the greatest and harmful hoaxes of modern times.
