Dear Patrick: I became a daily listener a few months ago. What a breath of fresh air you are in the wholistic community. I enjoy your laid back style, although I wonder if at times you’re taking a little nap between sentences:) One of your callers was talking about getting de-wormed when she was a child, which reminded me that my mother did a “worm cure” with us twice a year. The one thing I remember is drinking lots wormwood tea. She knew a lot about herbs and collected them when we went on walks. Wish I’d paid more attention. She also took me to the doctor weekly? maybe. He’d put some goggles over my eyes and they had me sit in my underwear in front of a far infrared lamp while they chatted. She also had a huge old water therapy book, written by Dr Kneipp. She constructed a homemade sauna using hot stones, and we’d sit under a canvas tarp after she’d poured water over the stones. Oh, those were the days.

Just a comment about Dr.Belk. He sounds like a wonderful doc, but towards the end he mentioned some of his, oh so healthy patients, who develop high blood pressure, or diabetes in spite of their healthy lifestyle. They run, and are vegetarians & vegans. This shows that he is just as brainwashed as the rest of us, who don’t question running or vegetarianism. Maybe THAT’S a problem?

Again love, love your show and guests. All the best to you and Sharon. Heidi

Nap between sentences? mmmm God is in the white spaces.

I am about to enter in the Old Amish Dewormer into my current regime for parasite cleansing ala Dr. Andreas Kalcker.

I think this a very safe, easy thing every one can do a couple times a year to keep out unwanted guests.

It is the classic Hulda Clark formula that we first learned of from a guest many years ago, The Barefoot Herbalist.
