Regarding Robert’s dialog with Driscoll about spraying pesticides on strawberries, my brother works at a chemical company that used to receive and mix the components for the strawberry pesticide. However, the end product is not sprayed on the strawberries; it is mixed into the soil. The stuff smelled so nasty that even the workers at the plant swore off of non-organic strawberries. By mixing it into the soil the strawberries will uptake the pesticide within the fruit, so you can’t just wash it off.
