Patrick vamps on his experience with living in nowsville and Atom was kind enough to send His teachers quote on the same subject:

To be in the NOW is to have WON: that is the whole trick. On preparing for coming prophesied cataclysms, don’t waste your energy on something which is a yes, no, maybe. Take no precaution, but cross that bridge when you come to it: IF it comes. Better to prepare yourself for it by learning to live in the now, then you will know what to do when the future becomes its own now. You only have to deal with NOW. The listener is confusing your “bedroom voice” with a “raspy voice.”

We talked about prayer and how there can be cases where you don’t want to pray for someone for something to happen or not without their permission….unless you are sure this is what they want  – and from Mark Earlier in my life, I didn’t understand the purpose of prayer, kind of like Jim Morrison’s quote “You can not petition the Lord with prayer.” Then in step 11, it teaches, “(We) sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”
