Prof. Brian Peskin

The World’s Leading Physiologic EFA Expert

Brian PeskinProf. Brian Peskin is a world-leading scientist specializing in parent EFAs — termed PEOs — and their direct relationship to both cancer and cardiovascular disease. While advancing the scientific understanding of the role of essential fatty acids in the body’s metabolic pathways, he has concurrently developed a means for alleviating cancer’s prime cause, as postulated by Nobel Prize-winner Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph.D., by increasing cellular oxygenation (The Hidden Story of Cancer, www.pinnacle-press.com).

Amazingly, there is a fundamental cancer / heart disease connection, whereby the same physiologic solution solves both conditions. This information will lead to a new understanding of how to treat and prevent both cancer and heart disease. The basis for Peskin’s current work, grounded strictly in state-of-the-art science — in particular, physiology — can be found in his seminal work and peer-reviewed medical journal articles. Clinical physicians throughout the world have validated Prof. Peskin’s EFA recommendations.

In the most exciting development to date, Brian’s theoretical conclusions were recently and completely validated in a physiological experiment by precise instrumentation capable of measuring arterial compliance. This experiment (IOWA experiment) provided the first conclusive clinical proof and validation of Prof. Peskin’s theory. Peskin Pharmaceuticals has a patent pending on the medicament that embodies this development.

Show Highlights:

-Parent essential oils increase fertility

-Prof. Peskin explains EFAs(Parent Essential Oils)

-Rule #1 is to spend your money on unprocessed oils and dump the fish oil

-So what’s so bad about fish oils/ cod liver oil? Prof. Peskin offers some answers

-Question from a listener:On page 407 of ;your book “The Hidden Story of Cancer” you state, the
lack of cellular transfer of oxygen is the cause of cancer. How do you measurecellular oxygen transfer? Would pure sulfur increase cellular oxygen transferas well as the the EFAs you recommend?

-Comments and questions from a listener:If plant seed oils are really necessary wouldn’t nature make it easier to extract such oil? Eating some sunflower or pumpkin seeds is fine but gives tiny amount of oil compared to oil extracted from these seeds and put into a bottle.

Getting saturated fats from animals or butter does not require fancy oil pressing equipment and can be done at home. Maybe it’s the nature’s way of saying, eat freely of saturated fats, but don’t eat high amounts of PUFA?

Are there evidence of parent essential oils being used by any primitive or traditional cultures known for longevity?

-From a listener: I have a couple of your books and haven’t touched fish oil since reading your research. My question is, I’ve heard that all the omega 6 oils lining the shelves of stores are all rancid! I don’t use them. I use the saturated for cooking. Curious what your thoughts are.

-Is krill oil from shellfish and tilapia also considered bad for us?

and so much more!!

Dr. Peskin is provocative to say the least. Now, I think everybody should leave n-3 oils alone, that is a clear no-no, to me at least. The question still remains if n-6 oils are healthy. Ray Peat Ph.D, a great physiologist and his followers including Atom Bergstrom make a compelling case of n-6 plant oils being just as poisonous. Since this topic is so important, I propose sending Dr. Ray Peat the paper of Dr. Peskin and sending Dr. Peskin the key paper of Dr. Ray Peat and get them on the show once again. Atom, please have a deeper look into this. Brian Peskin does sound like his brain is functioning just fine eating n-6 oils, doesn’t he! ;-)

From Prof. Peskin, (he’s not a Dr.)

Pete is very very wrong in this area and quite dangerous……omega-7 is never used in significant amounts and the cell membrane doesn’t contain it …..consume no Parent omega06 and you are dead!

Ray Peat and the follower Atom has no idea what there speaking off. Look at the answers Ray gives http://wiki.raypeatforum.com/index.php/Peatarian.com_Email_Exchanges That man is crazy and is a charlatan and so is Atom with his foods on time. That is BS. They say vitamin E is toxic, Powdered eggshells are the best calcium supplement, oyster shells are the next best ( this are inorganic calcium and that is not for the body!) , If you are using coconut oil regularly, that’s a possible source of allergens, if it isn’t well refined and deodorized., and so on. Ray Peat and Atom listen to books of centuries old and think that they are correct and all in this time is BS when there selves are bs. I have researched them and there claims are full of BS. Atom a little but Ray Peat with his nudity paintings on his site are totally insane. Search for the Ray Peat diet and you will find that we must take icecream and vegies are toxic and the people that does it they come on fat en look at Ray with his glasses and his old rippled face. Is that a healthy sign? What they are correct is with the PUFA’s and Omega’s 3 and all the rest what they claim is not science of nature but own thoughts that they see for real truth….

I admire how you can take yourself out before I even finish reading the first line. One must suspect you are “too young to know anything,” suffered a university indoctrination, drool over scientific “proof,” hunker for a source that can be trusted for 100% (peer reviewed?), and are overly vulnerable to supplement promos that don’t even seem to be helping you…? You are a CLASSIC case of someone that gets the good info way too soon and therefore doesn’t recognize it. I know the road to quality discernment is very long and it won’t happen without countless mistakes and doing the hard work that most don’t have the time for. But anyone who doesn’t think they will still have the same ideas 10 years from now (let alone 10 weeks) should voice his opinion more intelligently, don’t you agree? :o Why are you even dabbling in alt health with such a closed mind?
Tesla was not alone. Many others invented stuff 100 years ago (heck, eons ago) that we still wouldn’t believe today, and that’s just talking about the ideas we can still read about and were not put behind lock. But you think the world was a black & white movie before you were born, people only communicated with short subtitles, and everything was invented in the last 15 years? Coming from where you are at now, you’re not gonna convince anyone in places like these, so why waste anyone’s time?
“no idea what there speaking off,” “own thoughts that they see for real truth,” … TEXTBOOK mirroring :) Do you even see it?
And what has an artist nude to do with anything? OMG… You probably think it’s old-fashioned and he should watch PRON like everyone else? :) As Yoda would say “The denial is strong with this one…”

OMG Jean wake up and go back to Nature because as you say (and you say it and not me :) ) “The denial is strong with this one (you)…”

This is about your denial, not mine LOL. I’m open to nature and I explore so many things but there is BS and there is BS and you can see through the actions of somebody where is consciousness lies and if there are let say nudity paintings… that is not a sign of GOOD consciousness but unconscious awareness of the unconscious surface and the reality lies in the inner consciousness, and you think that that people can teach you something about the REAL inner reality of Food and Nature? Then you are in denial with a close mind my best friend :-) But if you want to eat eggshells for calcium, ice cream at lunch, no veggies because they are toxic and on and on… you are then on a wrong pad and not me. Search for ‘ray peat Peatarian Email Exchanges wiki’ and tell me that that are answers of a consciousness personality… even if you listen to him en look at his picture now… I’m glad that I’m not following this man and no body that takes this man seriously.

Brian is correct and I’ve given his recommendations a through test, five years. I’m now 62 and work about 12 hours a day on average, no medications, no pain, no downside. My diet is about 75% good fats, 15% protein and some vegetables. I occasionally cheat with a bit of ice cream (organic no additives or thickeners) and I do consume some alcohol in moderation. I am gluten free and I consider vital to any healthy diet.
Prior to the regimen I was in pain, unable to stand for more than 15 minutes, constant gastro gas, poor mental capacity and brain fog basically unable to read a paragraph and remember what it said in the first sentence. Thanks to you Brian and your admonitions and very hard work. I’m spreading the word with you now.

Brian Peskin is an electrical engineer without any training in nutrition or health! I agree with kevin z on Ray Peat & Atom Bergstrom. The Internet gives free rein to every kook to voice their PRIVATE OPINIONS, not scientific fact.

I’ll pick you to answer to this time. Besides, you come with a long and strong rebuttal that I was quite unprepared for… :)

      – “Brian Peskin is an electrical engineer without any training in nutrition or health!”
      > Ehm… that’s so often what’s great about these kinds of people! (not a Peskin fan or hater myself, BTW.) Why would you wanna start out with mainstream indoctrination? Many great discoveries were made exactly by people who were not self-limited by having read textbooks saying “This is not possible.” I have a scientist in the family. He just loves to proclaim, “It’s not possible.” :-)

-“I agree with kevin z on Ray Peat & Atom Bergstrom.”
      > The more, the merrier. Majorities are very often wrong. In true science it’s basically the same: a majority of wrong opinions gets thrown out for a different or refined version, slavishly followed till the next round. If you think it through, you will see the logic to the existence of a “lone nut” being closest to the truth. Analogies are easy to give, so you can hopefully see them for yourself.

      – “The Internet gives free rein to every kook to voice their PRIVATE OPINIONS, not scientific fact.”
      > Correct in general, but also to slaves of the current science paradigm; not exactly free thinkers… :-) You seriously wanna bow down to one authority that you can “trust”?? Do you realize how attractive this gets when these people see that is indeed the case? And that’s exactly what’s happening. We are born into it.
But if you are right, why is Atom not listed in Quack Watch? (AFAIK) It’s one of his dreams to get this recognition. Please help if you can :) I found some of his craziest sounding info to come straight out of Scientific American or another science mag. If your passion is to collect these kinds of facts, it’s not difficult to appear crazy, yet speak what is thought to be scientific truth.
It may well take a year to get a grip on both Ray’s and Atom’s work (more for most). I’m sure neither of you have even scratched the surface. I guess Ray was just lucky to be open-minded and critical from the start and therefore saw a lot of the important manipulations happen when they did, *and* he did plenty of his own experiments. No wonder Peat groups also have doctors and bright young scientists in them.

      > … written by M. Donkers :-) Do you even know this man? I know him well, even met in person. He’s basically “a simple John Doe” (his words) that nevertheless gets off most on shoutingly declaring your opinion to be a myth while himself falling for half of the dumb internet memes, myths, and simplifications out there, pushing them to his eager followers (H2O2, adrenal fatigue, viruses don’t exist, simplified Warburg memes, … the list goes on for a while); followers that get banned when challenging his “authority” too much. He’s a guy for people that like to have their thinking done by someone else for them. It figures that you would be impressed by him :-) One of his tricks is to use a lot of exclamation marks! In lectures he’ll say “You can believe me!”, etc., etc. He does have some great traits too. If he could drop the huge ego, he could perhaps become a valuable force, but that’s unlikely to happen. Maybe if a few deaths occur following his advice, which I consider probable. He could have died himself last year.

Not even Ray or Atom is saying viruses don’t exist. I see the attraction of this theory to people like Mike that are addicted to proclaiming “myth!”, but ATM my personal hunch is they do exist, but that a lot of info about them is indeed make-believe.
Atom or Ray are known to proclaim “myth!” as well, but the difference is they usually seem right. They have a clue after 70+ years.
So if it wasn’t clear to you, you were trying to declare people kooks with material from a rather dangerous and… genuine kook? :) (although a true kook for me is someone that does this knowingly and for profit; Ray had to be kicked to even sell an e-newsletter and Atom has several times forgotten to pimp a new book on radio, rather spending time telling it all for free. This is more the exact opposite of a charlatan.)

      My genuine advice:
      – Keep your mouth shut until you’re at least 40 *and* had most of the day to study all angles all that time, unless to ask questions to the same kinds of people, preferably older geezers :-)
      – Seek out more science-critical materials; you seem to have no clue? I should say that even I have lately become still more flabbergasted by how much worse it is than I ever “dreamed” it to be… It used to be fun up to a certain point…

You guys are very easy to “destroy,” so either see my reply to Kevin, or are you simply the trolls coming out, proving Atom & Co are gaining momentum…? I consider it a good sign :-)

“Brian Peskin is an electrical engineer without any training in nutrition or health!”
+ That is exactly the good thing about these kinds of people. You don’t want to start with mainstream indoctrination. Many great inventions were made by those that did *not* read the textbooks saying “it is not possible.”
+ A review written by M. Donkers who I know well and met in person, is a “regular John Doe” (his words) that can be experienced as a rather condescending know-it-all and a.o. is shouting that “viruses don’t exist!” He loves to declare “myth!” while himself falling for half of the other simplified internet memes and myths out there (I could write *pages* more about him). Not even Atom or Ray are denying the existence of viruses. In other words: you’re trying to discredit actual researchers with a review from… someone with real kooky views :-) AFAIK, Atom would love to be listed as a kook on QuackWatch. Why isn’t he? Please help if you can :-)
Try to know who are the people that are making your point for you, or at least see through them a bit better. That is my whole point about developing discernment. IMO, it usually does not come before age 40, and that is a generous estimate. Better to ask questions to… old geezers instead of making statements based on limited experience or narrow angles of research.

Let me not start to begin with M. Donkers because I’m from Belgium and he is from Dutchland. I now that crazy guy also and you Jean submit here your business card because you trust the wrong people my friend. I have listen to Micky Donkey in the past and all he does is eat fat, fat and fat. And all the rest of nature is garbage and toxic and have you seen this Micky Donkey? Is that healthy? He is overweight and you call him a good guy that knows something good? Come on Jean wake up and come back to nature because there lies our health and not in these people that do not know much about the real power of Nature.

Well, I’m not quite sure I can account for this man’s research:

I’ve consumed very very very minimal parent omega 6 oils (or -3 for that matter) for the last year, and I’m feeling great. A lot of problems I’ve had (like Candida), are gone. On the contrary, Omega-3 oils have always increased my brain speed in the past, and it’s very noticeable.

Check out videos and pictures of this guy; his teeth are full of cavities, his skin is showing signs of oxidative stress, and his hair has thinned noticeably in the past 3 years, ever since he came up with his “theory.” C’mon people. Read the research. Don’t take ANYTHING outside of it’s naturally occurring form. No supplements period.

And watch some recent videos of Ray Peat and compare to earlier ones; his brain is functioning at 1/4 speed of what it was. Stop listening to this crap. Usually only great doctors make Quackwatch, but notice how he is on there, BUT this specific theory IS NOT. That should tell you something. Some of the healthiest people I know don’t take anything at all. As soon as you take ANYTHING that has been isolated from it’s natural source, your body down-regulates the production of that particular thing, and over time, you “de-evolve” the ability to make that thing. Just look at bodybuilders; there’s a reason they have to cycle steroids. If they took them continuously, their testicles atrophy and they permanently lose the ability to produce testosterone and semen.

    Let’s use our brains folks.

Thanks Patrick for another thought provoking interview. For 8 years I have been eating natural foods and supplementing some. 1 week ago I stopped my daily dose of cod liver oil and I stopped giving my cat & dog their dose as well. Within 1 day my dog stopped scratching. 1 day! His scratching returned a few day later but much less than before and is currently still there but much less. I suspect he will scratch less as I get his oils in better balance

As for myself I have noticed improvements as well. Number one noticed is less pain when squatting and twisting as well as bending over. Number 2 is way better sleep. Every morning I wake from a very sound sleep and better rested than before stopping CLO. Interesting too that as my animals scratched more I added more CLO to their food thinking they just needed more.

I will continue to explore this and thanks again to you and Brian Peskin.

I think its entirely reasonable to hold Brian Peskin to the same standards that a corporation selling a product would be held to.
Sometimes its hard to separate infomercials from legitimately researched products. Much of what Brian Peskins says falls into question IMO but when you consider that he has a vested interest in pushing his ‘green pharmaceuticals’ then I think you really have to put your critical thinking cap on and question everything in this interview.

Look at Peskin’s ‘sanpaku’ eyes: high-floating irises with the whites revealed below. This, coupled with his agitated demeanour when speaking, give fair warning of his character.
