Dr. Michael Berry is a pioneer in the field of discovery investing and publishes a daily publication, Morning Notes by Michael Berry. Morning Notes analyzes geopolitics, natural resource policy and discovery opportunities in these areas.
He was a Professor of Investments at the Darden School,
the University of Virginia from 1982 to 1990. He also held the Wheat First Endowed Chair at James Madison University through 1994.
Dr. Berry has been a guest lecturer at the Federal Reserve in Washington DC for the past decade. He has also testified to Congress on natural resource policy formation and factors affecting US energy independence.
He studies the role of Austrian Economics macroeconomic stability, and the application of behavioral investing strategies. His casebook, “Managing Investments: A Case Approach,†has been widely used in academia.
