How to Cure Diabetes

In an era where every symptom becomes a deficiency of the latest drug, it makes the word “cure” sound as though it borders on quackery. But nothing could be further from the truth. For example, the leading diabetes prescription medications have quadrupled the heart attack rate, increased bladder cancers and depleted vitamin B12 which leads to exhaustion, impotence, Alzheimer’s, and much more. In fact the leading diabetes medication according to the Journal of the American Medical Association 2010 doubles the heart attack rate.

Furthermore, lowering the main test that doctors use to monitor diabetes (the hemoglobin A1C) with a diabetes drug increases death 22%. As well, diabetes drugs set folks up for blindness from retinopathy, renal failure in 37% which requires dialysis which then leads to heavy metal toxicity, a 33-70 % increase in cancer, 50% get memory loss, and much more.

Even a study in the 2008 New England Journal of Medicine showed that you can give all the best medications to diabetics for 5 years making their blood tests look normal, but it does not change their rate of dying one iota. One in four Americans over 60 has diabetes and three times that number are pre-diabetic with hypertension, elevated cholesterol or triglycerides, obesity, NASH (not alcoholic steatohepatitis or fatty liver disease), and/or Metabolic Syndrome X (insulin resistance).

Diabetes is clearly our best example of accelerated aging. And as far as the multiple curable causes of diabetes go, the #1 cause permeates 80% of our diet. Yet the FDA limit on this #1 cause is 500 times higher than the dose that researchers use to create diabetes. The good news is sometimes as little as pennies of non-prescription nutrients can literally cure diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease), prevent amputations, reverse diabetic retinopathy, as well as reverse diabetes to the point of needing no medications.

    Hey Patrick,
I love your show. I discovered it while hunting for a way to relieve the symptoms of my lower pack pain, and the maddening insomnia that unfortunately accompanied it.
I injured my back almost nine years ago at work and was out of work for 3 1/2 years, during which time I gained 25lbs. in the first year, and also developed severe sleep apnea at that time.
I then lost 35 through a low-fat SAD diet. This diet was fraught with a forced starvation.
I was eating 4 cans of un-buttered cans of corn a week,
no red meat, and had countless so-called “healthy tacos” made from skinless chicken breasts and probably GMO corn taco shells.
With the “help” of many various phamaceuticals and much resolve, I forced myself to return to work only to re-injure my back in less than 18mth’s. time.
In these last 4yrs. my symptoms had worsened dramatically, until this past January when I discovered your show.
With the help and information from you and your wonderful guests, my night back spasms have subsided somewhat, at least enough to maintain my ever waning sanity level.
It’s more than a little frustrating being in pain for nine years and not having more than a few handfuls of good night’s sleep during these last nine years surely has exasperated my lack of health overall.
Since the first week of January I stopped eating processed food, all wheat products, and most sugar of any type.
I’ve taken Magnesium through supplements and trans-dermally with Epsom Salt baths. I’ve stopped taking Calcium, which I started taking last summer in a panic when my symptoms reached a critical level.
Through the information from at least one of your guests I now think the taking of Calcium had made my bad situation worse. Instead I take vitamin k2 and eat more of one of my favorite cheeses “Prima Donna”, a type of Gouda.
I no longer cut the fats from my meats, nor do I skim the fat from my soups and stews, two things I did when I originally went on the strict SAD diet.
I now also eat at least 1dzn. eggs per week, cooked in a generous pat of butter per egg, and a total of about 2 to 3/4’s of a lb. of butter per week.
The increased fats along with elimination of wheat products, along with absence of any corn, sugar, and sodas in my life has brought a noticeable improvement in my state of mind as well, giving me hope that my health may some day be even further improved.
Today’s guest, Dr. Rodgers seemed to sum up many of the things which I have learned these past 2mths., which is more than I think I had learned in my previous 53 laps around the sun. One thing about being an insomniac, is that one has a lot of “me” time with which to learn.
In the last 60 days I’ll bet I’ve listened to close to 300 segments of your show.
    Thanks Patrick,
    Your listener from Philadelphia,
    Harry Fox

    Dear Patrick,
By the way, it took me 1 1/2 years to lose the 35 or so lbs. through starvation and SAD, but since I’ve knocked out the carbs and sugar, I’ve lost another 25 in 2mths,
and that’s from eating as much “fatty stuff” I want.
That includes cheating twice a week with a whole pint of “Ben and Jerry’s” at a sitting, my only cheat, whereas pretzels were once my #1,because they didn’t have fat.
My evening dessert/snack now consists mixed nuts(with no peanuts), and Lind’s 85% chocolate.
Lind’s 85% has no soy lecithin, the only store chocolate which I could find that does not. Even all the Godiva’s I’ve seen contain soy lecithin.
Oh, and I’m not afraid of salt anymore, probably one of the things I was seriously deficient in when I was on the so-called “healthy SAD” diet.
    Thanks again,
    Harry Fox
