Do you believe in voodoo?
The more you believe in voodoo, the more you are vulnerable to it.
So is voodoo a superstition that only works in tribal societies on “primitive” minds?
Far from it.
Modern scientists are especially vulnerable to psychic attack because they usually put “all their eggs in one basket” – the left hemisphere of the brain..
The word “ratiocination” – the process of exact reasoning power – has the same origin as the word “ratio.”
The ratio referred to is …
(1) 20 percent smell
(2) 20 percent taste
(3) 20 percent sight
(4) 20 percent touch
(5) 20 percent hearing
These five senses add up to 100 percent – the quintessence.
The quintessence also goes by the name of ether.
Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) called it “sonics.”
Others have called it the audible life stream.
(1) Smell is 20 percent ether, and ether is 100 percent of smell.
(2) Taste is 40 percent ether, and ether is 100 percent of taste.
(3) Sight is 60 percent of ether, and ether is 100 percent of sight.
(4) Touch is 80 percent of ether, and ether is 100 percent of touch.
(5) Hearing is 100 percent of ether, and ether is 100 percent of itself.
Adano would probably refer to this as “Chinese mathematics.”
The sixth sense is all of the five senses working as one – exemplified in the martial arts fist.
All the five Zones of Zone Therapy – Reflexology – unite as one in the geometry of the martial arts fist.
Reflexology divides the body into ten equal vertical zones, five on the left and five on the right.
Each martial arts fist – the hand closed tightly with the fingers pressed against the palm and the thumb superior – “seals” the five vertical zones on its respective side.
Making two martial arts fists SEALS OFF THE BODY COMPLETELY if you are “grounded” correctly – grounded deep into the center of the earth.
This doesn’t refer to Earthing – physically grounding yourself to the energy coming to the surface of the earth.
This doesn’t refer to electrical grounding or magnetic phenomena.
It’s not about avoiding “dirty electricity.”
Grounding uses intent (Yi) to direct vital force (Qi) deep into the ground.
Relative to this, Master Chen (Yun Xiang Tseng) said …
“The nature of the Devil is to confuse you and chop off your root”
… and …
“This is about moving your body, breath, spirit, Qi. The Tao is a selfish Tao. It’s about you. Without you, there is no Tai Qi.”
… and …
“If you don’t have your own integrity and respect, you see others as magical. Follow your Qi, not the fool guy.”

An over-acidic person has …
(1) a white coated tongue
(2) cracked skin oozing yellow fluid and runny crystals
(3) a “wet” cough with an overflow of mucus
An over-alkaline person has …
(1) a red tongue which is often fissured
(2) cracked skin with scale and no fluids
(3) a “dry” tickling cough with no mucus
According to Swami Nitty-Gritty …
Acidosis is the “drying out and cracking of the skin with crystalline secretions.”
Alkalosis is the “drying out and cracking of the skin without any crystalline secretions.”

A major contributor to bee extinction is the consumption of bee pollen.
It takes a month for a bee to produce a single granule of it.
Taking ten tablets of bee pollen at a time — like many ravers and athletes do — is the equivalent of hundreds of granules.

Hi Atom,
Do you have any sources to learn about the effect of bee pollen consumption and bee extinction?
Is consumption of other bee products also detrimental to the bees?
Regarding grounding and taiqi, is it more beneficial to practice taiqi barefoot to maximize the grounding effect?
Does the study of reflexology improves one’s understanding of taiqi?
Thanks,
John

Hello friends! I am not Atom and I probably don’t know anything about anything so whatever I say is whatever! I am just grateful for this arena that Patrick and Atom have set up for us. Thank you!
Can one really feel grounded without having calmed the mind, the breath? Can one stand unswayed in the extrinsic winds if the intrinsic winds are not stilled? Does a tree breath before it is planted and sprouts, or does it first figure out which way is up and which way is down in stillness?
As far as grounding effect in Tai Qi, I don’t think it matters. Try standing erect and still in your shoes and watch the sway of the body cease, like the breath. To find ones center and to root, does not rely on shoes, or not shoes, just do what makes sense or do both… but remember we are children and we must play – don’t let the mind become an obstacle to action.

My source is bee expert Pf. Steven Richardson of England.
Other bee products also put bees at risk.
However, in perspective, pesticides, pollution, and urban and suburban growth are worse risks.
You can “ground” with or without shoes, through solid steel floors or aluminum ones.
Grounding is an INTENT (Yi).
Intent trumps chemistry, electricity, magnetism, and barometric pressure.
Yes, comprehending the physics of reflexology improves one’s understanding of Tai Qi.
However, too few people understand reflexology.

True, Brendan, without stilling the mind (gathering Qi) and grounding (gathering more Qi), you can’t do Tai Qi (refine Qi).
Almost no one does Tai Qi in the U.S. In Master Chen’s words, “That’s not Tai Qi. That’s dancing!”
I use “stilling the mind” as hyperbole because the first genuine stilling of the mind occurs when you can hold your breath for 15 minutes – the Buteyko Method on steroids! :)

“To Be Continued Because We’ve Just Scratched the Surface”
Please do, it is such a wide area to learn about.
I live in southeast area of Europe and magic rituals performed here are so… uh, better not to describe them. And what’s more interested many highly educated people are really afraid of them.

Hi Atom, what did Paramahansa Yogananda eat ?
June 19, 2013 @ 1:47 pm atomb
In Yogananda’s own words …
“I’m a properetarian. I’m not a vegetarian because vegetarians eat french fries and milkshakes.”
Yet he was pretty much a vegetarian.
Yogananda ate some chicken in a San Francisco restaurant, according to Norman Paulsen.
A vegetarian woman sitting at the table with him shrieked, “There’s chicken in my soup!”
Yogananda scoffed, “Eat it anyway. Its karma can’t get any worse.”
