Atom Bergstrom is a frequent guest on our show.Check out his archives here. Atom is the co – author of “Yes, No Maybe – Chronobiotic Nutrition.” He does ongoing research into foods, their combinations and the time they are eaten yielding spefic results.
Atom spends a great deal of time in the medical libraries and the old text of our early healers before modern medicine.
Here are his ideas on the current threat of radiation exposure.
(1)Eat as much food grown near the seashore as possible as a source of NATURAL
iodide.
(2)Temporarily ACIDIFY the body — and eat potassium-rich foods to take advantage
of the acidification.
Thiscauses a quantitative and qualitativeINCREASE of intracellular potassium,
bismuth, and citrate, blocking cesium’s access to potassium ion channels.
Italso causes a qualitative and quantitativeDECREASE of intracellular
calcium, preventing bone turnover.
Italso causes a quantitative and qualitativeDECREASE in intracellular
magnesium, copper, and catalase.
Note:Essential fatty acids ALKALINIZEthe body.
(Anyintracellular increase is (almost) always accompanied by a corresponding
extracellular and interstitial decrease — and vice versa.)
(3)Avoid (most) GOITROGENS. Agoitrogen is technically aradiosensitizer.
Someexamples: cabbage, sauerkraut, broccoli, broccolini, cauliflower, kale, kohlrabi, bok choy, Chinese cabbage, Brussels sprout, collardgreens, mustard greens, turnip, rutabaga, radish, horseradish, canola oil, pine
nut, pear, peach, soybean products (including tofu), millet, spinach, strawberry, peanut, parsley, sweet potato, cassava, bamboo shoot.
Youmay have been told that cooking neutralizes a goitrogen. “Be my guest,” as Adano used to phrase it.
Anentire half-hour of cooking only destroys half of the amount of a goitrogen in a food (give or
take a little, depending on how chemically inert the goitrogen is in any specific food).
Lithium(in its drug form) is a goitrogenand thyroid blocker (esp. on a low-sodium diet).
Thiocyanate is a goitrogen and thyroid blocker.
Soavoid taking “health food store” B-12 — CYANOcobalamin.
MANYmedications are iodine and thyroid blockers. Find out which ones on the
Internet.
Coffee, cocoa, tea, and cola are goitrogens,
but — not to worry — only in excess and in the absence of iodide.
(4)Be as “still” and “breathless” as possible (INDOORS)
whilea radiation plumepasses over your area.
Thisdrives the body in the direction of cryptobiosis
(hibernation) and its accompanying states of anoxybiosis, anhydrobiosis, cryobiosis, and osmobiosis.
Youdon’t need to know what those words mean — just be still as possible and
meditate.
(5)Eat raw potassium-rich nuts and fruits at Stomach Time (7:00-9:00).
Someexamples: almond, prune, banana, apricot, coconut water.
(6)Eat black walnuts at Spleen-Pancreas Time (9:00-11:00 am).
Soakthem or at least combine them with real cherry wine or real plum wine to create
tincture of iodine.
(Most”cherry” and “plum” wines contain no cherries or plums.)
(7)Eat potassium-rich foods at Small Intestine Time (1:00-3:00 pm).
Someexamples: beef, chicken. sunflower seed, raisin, tomato, blueberry, blackberry,
wolfberry.
(8)Eat watermelon seeds at Urinary Bladder Time (3:00-5:00) for the barium in
them.
Bariumis in watermelon skin too.
Boththe seeds and the skin can be eaten by juicing an organic watermelon.
Runthe residue through the juicer several times.
(9)Drink cranberry juice at Kidney Time (5:00-7:00) to drive potassium into the
kidneys (which are sodium pumps, the principle behind “charging” an
electric eel).
(10)Eat potassium-rich foods at Circulation-Sex Time (7:00-9:00 pm).
Someexamples: fish (esp. sashimi),
sea vegetables (which are also a premiereiodide source), spirulina, baked potato (the
skinof a large one can contain over 900 milligrams of potassium), sweet
potato (baked thoroughly to neutralize as much of its goitrogen as possible), taro root, nopal (which also slows sugar
metabolism).
Malanga coco (big taro root)
may be the richest potassium source of all.
Note:The alginate content of
sea vegetables is so radioprotective
thatdoctors sometimes instruct their patients not to eat kelp before a
radiation treatment.
(11)Drink aSMALL amount of 100-percent agave tequila, aloe vera, and pineapple juice (preferably
juiced from a raw pineapple) to regulate iodine.
Ifyou regularly drink this tonic, a SMALL amount of all three ingredients will
regulate and mobilize iodine.
Inlarger amounts, all three are iodine suppressants (GOITROGENS).
(12)Maximum radiation protection is achieved by being asleep (avoiding daytime naps
but not meditation) during Biliary Time (11:00-3:00 am).
Note:Biliary Time comprises both Biliary Bladder Time (11:00 pm-1:00 am) and Liver
Time (1:00-3:00 am).
Thedeeper the sleep, the more radioprotection.
(See #4 for an explanation.)
Thedarker the room, the more radioprotection.
Melatonin is a potent radioprotectant.
Leavethe lights off when visiting the bathroomduring Biliary Timeor use
a red night light or light bulb.

This is a test, this is only a test. Were it an actual emergency the ban on prayer in schools would be lifted :)
