All of us are born breathing and crying into the Matrix — governed by Crowd Unconsciousness till offered the Red Pill.
Most people settle for the Blue Pill and an iPhone.
Humans are settlers, and they settle in crowds by definition.
Our Information Age (information without intelligence) is no different than the Middle Ages, “when mental epidemics were continually succeeding one another.”

“The strangest forms of madness were thus communicated, like a true contagion, from whole villages to whole nations, from children to old men, from the credulous to the most resolute sceptics. Sometimes there was a shuddering horror, often gloomy hallucinations; but always a profound conviction of their truth.

Today, worldwide crowds of people are possessed by fibromyalgia, long COVID-19, or shape-shifting reptiles.
And the beat goes on. Society’s welcome mat is never out for the man who marches to a different drummer.
