Linolenic Fat Disease
According to © 2019 Monsanto Company …
“Developed with input from leading food companies, these [Vistive® Gold] soybeans feature a trait that allows the beans to produce oil with low saturated fat and zero trans fat. When used in foods, this soybean oil is a healthier alternative to traditional oils, without compromising taste and texture.”

What makes Vistive® Gold healthier?
According to “Vistive Gold,” Wikipedia (last edited Jan. 27, 2019) …
Vistive® Gold is “a genetically engineered variety of glyphosate-resistant low-linolenic, high-oleic soybeans produced by Monsanto.”
Monsanto reduced the toxic linolenic acid.
How many people know the difference between linoleic and linolenic acid?
Monsanto avoids the terms omega 3 and omega 6.
Can anyone guess why?
Even Wikipedia gets confused.
According to Wikipedia (same source as above) …
“Engineered to reduce linolenic acid content, MON 87705 suppresses FATB and FAD2, endogenous genes and encoding enzymes that play a role in the biosynthesis of fatty acids. This alteration more than triples oleic acid content, raising it from approximately 20% to 70% of all fatty acids, and reduces the levels of linoleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid present in seeds.”
<>
What does the N stand for in linolenic?
In Atom-speak, it stands for “No!”
<>
So what might be the real advantage of Vistive® Gold?
According to Wikipedia (same source as above) …
It is believed that MON 87705 [Vistive® Gold] can yield up to US$0.60 per bushel more than conventional soybeans.”
<>
According to Sarah Vacek (Monsanto Product Manager) …
“The Vistive Gold oil profile is unique. It’s 60% less saturated fat than you would find in commodity soybean oil.
“You also have increased monounsaturated fat and you have lower polyunsaturated fat, the lower linolenic levels that help with stability.
“What that means for food companies is that you’ve got an extended fry life, you’ve also got an extended shelf life opportunity.”
<>
The LOWER linolenic [omega 3] levels are responsible for the “extended fry life” and “extended shelf life opportunity.”
LOWER omega 3 fatty acid levels also offer the human body an “extended shelf life opportunity.”
Unfortunately, this “opportunity” is offered in the form of a GMO soybean containing glyphosate.

HEAT + omega 3 fatty acids = age spots (a sign of Yellow Fat Disease).
