Me: “What time is love?”
Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty): “Now. Love is the time-lapse of now. The more time you got is the more love you got, and the more love you got is the more time you got, so when can it occur but in the now? It’s not yesterday or tomorrow.
“Lovingness … lovingness is the time-lapse of love. How much lovingness are you releasing in the love, not how much love is released, because you can’t release love.
“You may say you love me, but the intensity of the love is only in the lovingness of your concentration, and that is a now principle.
“You can’t take out love and look at it, but you can enhance lovingness from within you.”
Hugo: “How?”
Adano: “By being more dedicated, but you can’t make it a goal.”
Hugo: “Well, I don’t think it can be a goal, because if we’re made in the image and likeness of God, we are God because God is love.”
Adano: “Good. We may want to know that He is also that which doesn’t go, and that He is waiting for us to learn how to forgive Him too.”
Hugo: “But why would we want to forgive Him for making us?”
Adano: “Ah, then you’ll discover what is GREATER than love.”
Hugo: “I thought love was the greatest thing?”
Melissa: “Compassion?”
Adano: “You cannot love love to release compassion. It will not occur. You must hurt love to release compassion. Until you hurt love, you never experience compassion. But to try and love love and expect to experience compassion – it will never happen.”
