Lungs & Carbon Dioxide
Re: Does sighing produce similar effects to yawning? Does playing slow tempo songs on a wind instrument help?
Sighing is different than yawning, but beneficial.
Sighing is for lung release specifically.
It happens automatically when moving to the mountains, and is one reason for the archetype of the Guru on the Mountaintop.
When done unconsciously, it inevitably indicates lung trouble being corrected by the autonomic nervous system and acid/base adjustments.

All tempos are helpful on a wind instrument (esoterically related to the Second Chakra).
Drums relate to the First Chakra.
Wind instruments relate to the Second.
String instruments relate to the Third. (Notice how a guitar has a Dan Tien?)
Bells (including tubular ones) relate to the Fourth.
The thunderclap relates to the Fifth.
The sound of lightning relates to the Sixth.
Bagpipes relate to the Seventh.
Silence relates to the Eighth.

Carbon dioxide builds muscles while you sleep while human growth hormone destroys those same muscles.

Carbon dioxide in the gut is opposite carbon dioxide in the brain.
Extended yawning (as far beyond seven seconds as possible) is an ideal brain preservative, adding CO2 to the brain.

Re: Interesting. How do you add CO2.
Many ways.
It seems like “magical thinking,” but certain words are better at doing it than others.
Om, for instance, has been used for the purpose down through the centuries.

Donkey milk is the food that’s best at conserving carbon dioxide throughout the entire body.
It’s essential to fakirs who practice breath control, especially the ones practicing ritual burial.

According to Adano Ley …
“Carbon dioxide is the teleprinter. Oxygen is cellular cleaning.”

There are two types of placebo.
The commonest is feeling better but the disease keeps getting worse without knowing it.
The less common placebo is feeling better due to actual physiological improvement.
It’s a matter of life and death to know the difference.

What are your thoughts on taping mouth shut at night for CO2 utilization? I’ve been doing it for months, and most people I talk to about it look horrified I would do such a thing. But I tell ya, I sleep well, and haven’t had even a sniffle or allergy in months now. Ive found myself barely breathing while driving around town. Just relaxed, deep nose breathing. All is good!!

You can’t argue with success.
Your method is less radical than the many Yogis who surgically shape their tongue for CO2 retention.
