Magnifying Glass Or Atoms?
I was enthralled with iridology after buying two Josef Deck textbooks of medical diagnosis at the Bodhi Tree in West Hollywood (where I worked part-time in 1985).
I was frustrated by being unable to find a suitable magnifying glass to look at irises after driving all day from store to store.
I visited Jonathan Dune at his Westwood apartment, and vented my vexation.
“Relax,” he cryptically advised. “Calm down, and it’ll be delivered to your own driveway.”
Unconvinced, I continued ranting and raving.

I was back home in Carpinteria several days later doing some gardening, when a friend of mine I hadn’t seen in months pulled into my driveway.
“You’ve got good timing,” I told Sarita Young. “I’ve been working in L.A., and I’m usually not home today.”
(Four nights a week I slept on the floor of Dawn Sampson’s apartment in Van Nuys.)
Sarita told me of her new job in the gift industry, and I joked, still obsessed with magnifying glass deprivation syndrome, “Well, if you ever run across a magnifying glass [among the gift items], I sure could use one.”
She replied, “It’s one of my gift items, and I’ve got one in the trunk that you can have for free.”
True to Jonathan’s prediction, the magnifying glass had been delivered to my own driveway.

I marveled to Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) about the manifestation of my magnifying glass.
He responded, “Is that a magnifying glass or is it ATOMS?”

Nature provides what you need at the time you need it.
When Vibrant Gal had her recent serious case of the flu, she was so weak she couldn’t even lift her head to drink sips of water.
We were staying at a guest house on an isolated ranch and we desperately needed a drinking straw.
I searched through all the kitchen drawers and cabinets and found … a single straw.
Someone had left behind the lid of a plastic drinking cup with a single straw sticking through it.

Michael Shapiro entertained hospital patients while he was in rabbinical school in Israel.
He started to enter an elderly man’s room, but a doctor stopped him, saying, “It’s no use playing for this man. He’s in a coma and has only a few days to live, and he won’t be able to hear you anyway.”
Michael insisted on playing for him.
Long story short, the man woke up with tears streaming down his face.
He jumped up and started dancing to the music, and left the hospital soon after.
To this day, Rabbi Michael Shapiro begins his lectures with two or three guitar solos.

Manuka honey is EXCELLENT, especially the New Zealand variety.
Be sure it’s real Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium).
Look for the UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) rating. The highest UMF rating is 20+.
Beware of neonicotinoid pesticides showing up in Manuka (including the NZ variety).

greetings!
have a few jars of organic certified manuka honey from NZ. UMF 15+ I think. Is is “better” than “regular” organic raw unpasteurized honey?

Only the beekeeper knows for sure.
According to one estimation, 9,000 tons of Manuka honey are sold worldwide, each year, yet only 3,000 tons of genuine Manuka honey are produced.
