It’s Never Too Early to Drop Out
Can you put a frog in cold water and slowly boil it to death?
Only if you remove its brain, as physiologist Friedrich Leopold Goltz (1834-1902) demonstrated.
The frog metaphor warns us of the dangers of not noticing the deadly changes in our environment before it’s too late.
The metaphor still holds true because all U.S. citizens DO have their brains removed — by SCHOOLING.
It’s never too early to drop out of school.
Ivan Illich (Deschooling Society, 1971) wrote …
“Many students, especially those who are poor, intuitively know what the schools do for them. They school them to confuse process and substance. Once these become blurred, a new logic is assumed: the more treatment there is, the better are the results; or, escalation leads to success. The pupil is thereby ‘schooled’ to confuse teaching with learning, grade advancement with education, a diploma with competence, and fluency with the ability to say something new. His ‘imagination is ‘schooled’ to accept service in place of value. Medical treatment is mistaken for health care, social work for the improvement of community life, police protection for safety, military poise for national security, the rat race for productive work. Health, learning, dignity, independence, and creative endeavor are defined as little more than the performance of the institutions which claim to serve these ends, and their improvement is made to depend on allocating more resources to the management of hospitals, schools, and other agencies in question.”
School is the reason we accept such abominations as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
You may call it Obamacare, but do you really think that the Janitor of the White House sat down with pen in hand and wrote out this 974-page document?
Let’s call it by its true name — FEMAcare (Federal Emergency Management Care).
Dr. Jennifer Daniels (“Who Needs FEMA Camps When People Are Voluntarily Signing Up to Be Killed By the Medical System?”, One Radio Network, May 23, 2016) said …
“When is that button going to get pressed? My revelation is it’s already been pressed, that the centers are actually hospitals. People are already being incarcerated, tortured, and killed there, and there is no need for FEMA camps.”
There are 440,000 hospital deaths a year. The American middle class accepts these casualties without question.
Why? Because they’ve been SCHOOLED to accept them.
Ivan Illich (same source as above) wrote …
“Welfare bureaucracies claim a professional, political, and financial monopoly over the social imagination, setting standards of what is valuable and what is feasible. This monopoly is at the root of the modernization of poverty. Every simple need to which an institutional answer is found permits the invention of a new class of poor and a new definition of poverty. Ten years ago in Mexico it was the normal thing to be born and to die in one’s own home and to be buried by one’s friends. Only the soul’s needs were taken care of by the institutional church. Now to begin and end life at home become signs either of poverty or of special privilege. Dying and health have come under the institutional management of doctors and undertakers.”
By the way, there is no legitimate Alternative Care/Holistic Medicine movement in the U.S.
It’s all dictated by mainstream medicine, and information provided by government agencies.
Do you really think iodine will protect you from radiation?
What is the origin of that lie? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the “mother of all government values-clarification programs.”
Michelle Malkin (“What does $7 billion buy us? A power-hungry busybody brigade of politicized blame-mongers,” National Review, Oct. 15, 2014) wrote …
“At $7 billion, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2014 budget is nearly 200 percent bigger now than it was in 2000. Those evil, stingy Republicans actually approved CDC funding increases in January larger than what President Obama requested.”
According to the same source (ATTENTION, FROGS, THE WATER IS WARMER THAN WARM) …
“‘Social Norming’ in the schools. The CDC has funded studies and campaigns ‘promoting positive community norms’ and ‘safe, stable nurturing relationships (SSNRs)’ in homes and schools. It’s the mother of all government values — clarification programs. Again I ask: Why is this the CDC’s business?”

Just knowing and proclaiming an undesirable truth at any cost is not enough unless one’s object is martyrdom. To survive one needs lessons and experience in sociopolitical karate.”

Ray Peat (“Progesterone, brain protection, and the ‘science culture’,” Ray Peat’s Newsletter, 2016) wrote …
“Big medical science is structured the way Mussolini’s fascism was structured, with government serving the interests of business. Mussolini’s favorite propaganda line was that ‘he made the trains run on time,’ but in fact he didn’t. Fascism justified itself on the basis of ‘efficiency,’ but the only efficiency was the accelerated flow of public money to the ruling clique. The system of big medicine is efficient in that way.”

What saved me from “higher” education was an alleged quote from Thomas Jefferson — “Education teaches all of the branches and none of the roots.”

Ray Peat…he seems to be the only one not afraid of aspirin. I know Tony P. uses in in smaller doses but Ray Peat doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. . I know when I talked about aspirin with my primary doc it was like holding a crucifix up to a vampire in an old black and white flick. I even think Dr. Daniels does
not like them. What do you think?
Peat also doesn’t break down the difference as far as I can tell about PUFA’s …I mean the only nuts with the smallest amount seem to be macadamia and chestnut. I was trying to find out what he considers too many pufa’s for people. I’m still not clear. I mean even Almonds have them. I mean does Vit E/Selenium and Glutathione, and Peat’s list offset any small amounts?
Here’s links on both subjects (aspirin and Pufa’s) from Ray…

Thanks for the links, Mark!
I take Ray Peat seriously, but I’m not a committed Peat-atarian.
I’ve found major “holes,” or at least loopholes, in his reasoning, after listening to dozens of his interviews and reading his books and blog entries.
(I’ll be reading the blog entries you sent me too.)
The last aspirin I took was in 1958 (maybe even 1957), and I don’t intend to start again, and willow bark is even more toxic than its coal tar salt, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA).
The “Gold Standard” for my info on fats, saturated or unsaturated, is Dr. Emanuel Revici, who lived to 101 following his own advice.

Vitamin E, selenium, and glutathione are game-changers, especially when these are eaten in food.

Wow Atom…1957 for an aspirin…that’s pretty impressive considering you were still a young pup and it was the 50’s. Was it your parents talking to you or just your early realization you shouldn’t take them? Back then everybody trusted the doctor who even smoked…heck, everybody smoked…and aspirin was the only regular swallow…I even remember the rumor of older guys (HS seniors) chugging them down after a night of drinking…not to mention the ole saying that an aspirin and a coke would get you high…but I’m going off topic…My parents medicine chest always had them…

My first experiment with vegetarianism was in high school.
Aspirin was in my parents’ medicine cabinet too, but I was suspicious of doctors since the ninth grade.
Most kids wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, or Indian chief when they grew up; I wanted to be an iconoclast. lol

Presidents are just figureheads doing the bidding of Wall Street and Big Oil.
For example, Donald Trump is financed by Steven Mnuchin, George Soros, and Henry Kissinger.
