A healthy man can’t dream without an erection.
Ladies too.
A woman’s dreaming erection is called nocturnal clitoral tumescence (NCT), and a man’s is called nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT).
Nocturnal erections are testosterone-dependent, while wakeful erections are dopamine-dependent.
A healthy person dreams 3 or 5 times a night, and has 3 or 5 full-tilt boogie erections 3 or 5 times a night.
Every erection lasts throughout the REM (rapid eye movement) dreaming state, an average of 25 1/2 minutes.
A mouse also dreams about 3 to 5 times a night, but mouse erections only last an average of 11 seconds.
You can’t astral travel without an erection. It’s linked to a spinal reflex.
One sleep scientist admitted he had no clue where dreams come from, but he thought the erect penis might be an antenna for receiving them.
Lung power is necessary for impeccable astral projection.
Liver power is not necessary for astral tourism, but it helps you “get back in” your body.
No matter how much alcohol you drink – no matter how drunk you get – your dreaming erection will prevail.
In contrast, smoking tobacco – including marijuana – sabotages your dreaming erection.
Alcohol, of course, definitely interferes with a wakeful erection, unless you’re a Tantric Adept who has mastered REM dreaming in the conscious state.
Conscious dreaming is something of a misnomer.
More correctly, conscious dreaming involves co-creation, conscious participation in the dreaming process.
The source of the dreaming process is known philosophically and anthropomorphically as Jot Niranjan, the guy in charge of the “3 lower worlds.”
People who “enter the light” during a near-death experience (NDE) are encountering Jot Niranjan, also called Kal Niranjan.
Jot Niranjan translates as “pure light,” and is similar to the Western archetype of Father Time.
The “3 lower worlds” are also called …
(1) the Physical Realm
(2) the Astral Realm
(3) the Lower Mental Realm
Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) called them …
(1) Matter acting on Matter
(2) Energy acting on Matter
(3) Consciousness acting on Matter
The realm above is known philosophically as Brahm.
Paul Twitchell (in his 1967 book, The Tiger’s Fang) quotes Brahm as saying …
“Man is not free. No man is free under my rulership, for I am everywhere and doing all things, at all times. You are my subjects, and I will hold you within my grasp throughout Eternity.”
Freedom BEGINS one realm beyond.

Alcohol does affect “morning wood.”
So it may not be related to REM dreaming.
Most authorities say it’s not related to a full bladder.

My Friend,
My continued appreciation for all that you share with me!
You said: Freedom BEGINS one realm beyond.
Would that realm be Omkar?

Omkar/Onkar means “One God,” and is the same as God/Brahm/Par Brahm, the supervisor of AUM and co-creator (with AUM) of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
“I am the God of all Gods! Nothing here is higher than me!”
Untrue, of course.
Rarankar is next, followed by Sohang = I AM THAT / I AM HE.
“The wise man knows that he himself is the path; the stupid one makes a path beyond himself.”
KAR in Omkar/Onkar and Rarankar means “God,” as in rein-KAR-nation.
