This blog entry was precipitated when I heard news anchor Brian Williams say on yesterday’s NBC Nightly News …

“There’s a new patient born every day.”

Pharmaceuticals are one of the Four Ps.

Petroleum,

Plastics,

Pharmaceuticals, and

Pesticides,

… and are all consolidated under the dominion of the New World Order’s transnational oil and energy cartels.

Pharmaceuticals have little to do with health, and nothing at all to do with high-level wellness.

In the words of …

T. Swann Harding, “A Purgation of Purgatives: Laxative Fallacies,” Scientific American, Oct. 1937, “There is no excuse for peddling candy and chewing gum laxatives among a race so addicted to cathartics anyway that they imagine that taking a purge does not constitute drugging oneself.”

Mihaly Csikszentnihaly, The Evolving Self: A Psychology for the Third Millennium, 1993, “Chemical parasites can invade and destroy entire societies. Archeologists have recently discovered in South America traces of powerful and advanced civilizations that had apparently been wiped out, even before the Spanish conquest, by addiction to drugs.”

Deepak Chopra, M.D., Ageless Body, Timeless Mind: The Quantum Alternative to Growing Old, 1993, “A huge number of preventable aging problems can be traced to the indiscriminate use of prescription drugs. Unless one is alert to this danger, mixing medications is becoming a growing habit with many people as they age.”

Tim Friend, “Education on medications is ‘terrible’: Ask, ‘Do I really need to be on all these pills?’ and push your doctor hard,” USA Today, Jul. 27, 1994, “70% of doctors who treat Medicare patients flunked an exam on prescribing to the elderly.”

Carl Jensen & Project Censored, Censored: The News That Didn’t Make the News – and Why, 1995, “Major drug companies have started to pay pharmacists to promote their drugs over those of their competitors.”

Evan Eisenberg, The Ecology of Eden, 1998, “It is an odd coincidence that wheat, the fuel of the first great explosion in human numbers and abilities, should come from roughly the same part of the world as oil, the fuel of the second. Of course, wheat and oil ‘come from’ the Near East in very different senses. Though in both cases a concentration of plants was the source of energy, oil stores the energy captured by plants millions of years ago; wheat, by contrast, carries instructions for capturing and storing new energy from the sun. Yet in both cases a sudden rush of energy has destroyed biological information. The amount of energy (and protein) that wheat and other grains offer is so prodigious that we are tempted to replace nearly all ecosystems with grainfields. The staff of life becomes a crutch. Petrochemical fertilizers let us rely, for a while, on depleted soils and only a few varieties of each grain, so that genetic information is lost both above and below the ground.”

Pamala D. Larsen, R.N., Ph.D., & Jan Hoot Martin, R.N., Ph.D., “Polypharmacy and elderly patients,” AORN Journal, Mar. 1999, “To date, little research has been conducted to determine the safety and efficacy of combining multiple medications in a single patient. Some researchers have suggested that research in pharmacology is not sophisticated enough at the present time to examine the effects of multiple medications taken at one time. Others have referred to polypharmacy as an uncontrolled experiment. They suggest that a scientist in a laboratory would never combine eight to 10 different chemicals at random in a test tube without first preparing for the consequences. Thus, when an elderly patient is prescribed eight to 10 medications concurrently, it is impossible to predict the outcome.”

“Outpatients Often Affected by Medication Complications,” AORN Journal, Apr. 2000, “Patients with multiple medical problems or who said they were not informed about side effects were more likely to report medication complications. Researchers found 13% of documented adverse medication events were preventable because the patient had a documented allergic reaction to the medication.”

Kevin Trudeau, Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About, Updated Edition, 2004, “… the majority of the money that is going in the pockets of the politicians all around the world is from the pharmaceutical industry. Consider that even Fidel Castro of Cuba has an estimated worth of $550 million, much of which comes directly from the pharmaceutical industry!”

Ian Wilmut, “The moral imperative in human cloning,” New Scientist, Feb. 21, 2004, “It is a surprising fact that bad reactions to prescription drugs, even when those drugs are used correctly, kill thousands of people every year. […] In most cases, the variation from person to person is due to differences in the genes that code for liver enzymes that break down drugs.”

Diane Martindale, “Death of a salesman?: If you want to be a pharma rep these days, you need less hard sell and more hard information,” New Scientist, Feb. 28, 2004, “The number of full-time reps in the US has jumped more than 50 per cent in the past four years, to 90,000. The world’s two biggest pharmaceutical companies, Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline, employ the largest sales force, with nearly 20,000 reps between them.”

Reverend Damuzi, “Med-pot news: New research discredits bad science funded by pharmaceutical profit,” Cannabis Culture, Dec. 2004-Jan. 2005, “The perversion of science lays bare the vagaries of human motivation. Research requires millions in fundings donated with the expectation of a return on investment. When the donor is a pharmaceutical company, you can bet that doctors and researchers will produce findings favorable to their patrons.”

Betsy Querna, “Pick the Right Pain Pill,” U.S. News & World Report, Dec. 26, 2005-Jan. 2, 2006, “One study, published this month, noted that about half of all cases of liver failure are caused by an overdose of acetaminophen – 44 percent intentional but 48 percent unintentional.”

Robert Langreth & Matthew Herper, “Pill Pushers: How the drug industry abandoned science for showmanship,” Forbes, May 8, 2006, “The ‘easiest profits’ come from me-too drugs, says John Santa, medical director at Oregon Health & Science University. Genuine discovery is a risky business ‘more like drilling for oil.’ Instead of prospecting for real cures, some companies repackage old drugs with the minimal tweaks needed to get a new patent. Then they stage exhaustive trials aimed at unearthing some slender advantage that can be cited in advertising. […] ‘The comparative studies are a joke. They are comical. A lot of the scientific literature these days is worthless,’ says psychiatrist Jack E. Rosenblatt. ‘The whole process has been corrupted,’ says British bone researcher Aubrey Blumsohn. ‘It is getting worse as the financial stakes are rising.'”

The Medical-Industrial Complex played a major role in creating our current Debt Crisis and Overhang.

U.S government debt has exceeded $14 trillion; banking and financial institution debt, $17 trillion; corporate debt, $11 trillion; consumer debt, $14 trillion; and unfunded government liabilities, $66 trillion = a total debt of $122 trillion …

    … which means …

    … it’s a great time for a Holistic Health Revolution. :)

It’s time to flush most of our pills down the toilet.

On second thought, to protect the environment, they need to be disposed of in a toxic waste site.

This is not about time-tested medicines like insulin and levothyroxine.

    It’s about Wall Street drugs.

F.M. Michaels (Monoculture: How One Story Is Changing Everything, 2011) wrote …

“In 1934, the ethics code of the American Medical Association (AMA) said non-doctors (outside investors) profiting from medical work was ‘beneath the dignity of professional practice, is unfair competition within the profession at large, is harmful alike to the profession of medicine and the welfare of the people, and against sound public policy.'”

One reason the renowned medical scientist Emanuel Revici, M.D., received so much flak from Big Medicine and the U.S. Government was because MOST OF THE DRUGS HE USED WERE NOT PATENTED.
