Mucoid plaque is a fiction fabricated by supplement companies to hype their products.
These supplements often contain psyllium fiber, a mucilage that does more harm than good. [1]
They also often contain “natural” laxatives, which also usually do more harm than good.
However …
(1) Constipation is NOT advertising hype.
(2) Diarrhea is NOT advertising hype.
(3) Autointoxication is NOT advertising hype.
(4) Fecal impaction is NOT advertising hype.
(5) Intestinal bezoars are NOT advertising hype (although mostly found in the stomach).
(6) Fecalomas (fecaliths) are NOT advertising hype.
(7) Intestinal parasites are NOT advertising hype.
(8) Megaintestine (from parasites and/or toxins) is NOT advertising hype.
(9) Intestinal hormone imbalance is NOT advertising hype.
(10) Etc.
LIFE begins in the colon.
Most medical doctors don’t believe in intestinal autointoxication, but Dr. Arthur C. Guyton (1919-2003) proved them wrong. [1]
You can find Dr. Guyton’s conclusive experiment in Guyton’s Textbook of Medical Physiology. [2]
I rarely read a medical textbook from cover to cover, but, in Dr. Guyton’s case, I made an exception.
The optimum times to work on the large intestine are …
(1) Large Intestine Time (5:00-7:00 a.m.)
A healthy person will feel the urge to take a dump at 7:00 a.m. sharp.
(2) Heart Time (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)
Metabolic syndrome involves both the heart and the colon. Polyps and heart disease are related.
(3) Kidney Time (5:00-7:00 p.m.)
Colon microflora protect against uremic toxicity. (The so-called “heart line” in the ear is actually a “kidney line.”)
(4) Gall Bladder Time (11:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.)
Excess bile acids are linked to colon cancer. [3]
:)
[1] Michael Castleman (The New Healing Herbs, 2009) wrote, “If you take psyllium but don’t drink lots of water or juice with it, you could end up like the man whose intestine became completely blocked by a large psyllium plug. He required abdominal surgery. Drink at least one tall glass of water or juice every time you take psyllium.” OR AVOID IT COMPLETELY.
[2] Dr. Guyton was the Dean of the University of Mississippi Medical School.
[3] The first eight editions of Guyton’s Textbook of Medical Physiology were written entirely by himself.
[4] Taking coffee at the wrong time of day – by mouth or anus – increases this correlation.

10 is the number of longevity.
It’s numerology, e.g., 1108 = 10, 1117 = 10, 40,123 = 10, etc.

Hello AtOM,
What is “Intestinal hormone imbalance”?
Hugs & Blessings
Helen

There are many hormones at work in the intestines.
For example, lowering androgen levels makes a man less susceptible to prostate cancer, but MORE susceptible to colorectal cancer.
Sexual function involves all five lower chakras.
(1) Sexual Eliminative Chakra (bladder and large intestine)
(2) Sexual Reproductive Chakra (genitals)
(3) Sexual Pregnancy Chakra (uterus in women and prostatic utricle in men)
(4) Sexual Bonding Chakra (heart and pericardium)
(5) Sexual Libido and Positive Eugenics Chakra (thyroid)
Chakras 4 and 5 share embryological origins (heart, thyroid, hand (esp. middle finger, ring finger, pinky finger)

Hi Atom
Your thoughts on prebiotics and probiotics, esp Soil-Based-Organisms for intestinal health.
Thanks

Many experts have come out against soil-based organisms.
I’m withholding my “take” on them until more information is available.

Atom, what do you think the intestine-shaped, rubbery, tubular substance is that people call mucoid plaque? There are many pics of it on the interwebz and some people in you tube vids even show it and they never mention using supplements, just water fasting or colonics. Did you ever see this stuff when you were doing colonics?

Never. And I looked really, really carefully, even phoning a mortician to confirm or deny it.
But just because I never came across it doesn’t mean there is no such thing. It’s just probably uncommon.

Thanks Atom, good to know :)
