Raw Fruits Are Easily Digested

Raw vegetables are hard to digest.

Raw, ripe fruits are easily digested — especially those highest in fructose.

Maybe there’s a reason.

Plants gift us with their fruits, but resent us eating their working parts.

That’s why so many toxins are in their working parts, especially their seeds, followed by their leaves.

Fruits are easily digested because they’re “cooked” by solar radiation and the ethylene production-response cycle.

A plant’s working parts resist solar radiation, and must be cooked at higher temperatures to be digested … unless the cellulose is removed.

Steve Meyerwitz (Wheatgrass: Nature’s Finest Medicine, 2006) wrote …

“[V.E.] Irons vacuum dried his grass juice into powder at a low temperature to avoid the use of any ‘carrier’ additives. He believed in the ‘juice’ powder instead of dehydrated whole grass because the cellulose is indigestible. ‘We don’t have two stomachs like cows.’ After beating a debilitating mid-life disease, Irons ended up starting a second family at the age of 72, fathered his last child at 80, and at 86, moved his entire grass farm which included the equivalent of 114 freight cars worth of tractors, trucks and equipment. He died in 1993, just before his 99th birthday. His company, one of the oldest in the nutrition industry, still has offices in Kansas City and is the oldest existing grass products producer in the world.”

    Hi Atom,
what foods have a lot of cholesterol in them ?

Eggs, cheese, butter, and meat are high in cholesterol.

Strangely enough, foods high in cholesterol often won’t raise it in the body, while fruit will.

Supplying sugar (especially fructose) to the liver helps it manufacture cholesterol. :)
