Something Fishy About the GRAS List
Re: I have never seen “menhaden oil” listed on any food products on any ingredient list. How is it being included in the list of ingredients?
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration …
“‘GRAS’ is an acronym for the phrase Generally Recognized As Safe. Under sections 201(s) and 409 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act), any substance that is intentionally added to food is a food additive, that is subject to premarket review and approval by FDA, unless the substance is generally recognized, among qualified experts, as having been adequately shown to be safe under the conditions of its intended use, or unless the use of the substance is otherwise excluded from the definition of a food additive.”
Generally recognized to be safe among qualified experts?
Qualified in what way?
Qualified as corporate shills?
The Wall Street Journal article, “The FDA ‘Revolving Door’ Fosters Conflicts on Advisory Panels” (Ed Silverman, Sept. 15, 2014), is an epic understatement.
Ditto, “Conflicts of Interest at the F.D.A.,” by the Editorial Board of The New York Times (Apr. 15, 2015).
Who’s the new acting Commissioner of Food and Drugs, the head honcho of the F.D.A.?
Steve Myers (“What Do We Know about FDA Commissioner Nominee Dr. Califf?,” Natural Products Insider, Nov. 2, 2015) wrote …
“In 2006, [Robert M.] Califf founded and directed Duke’s Clinical Research Institute, one of the largest academic research organizations in the world, and has published hundreds of clinical studies. However, he has received a great deal of financial support from pharmaceutical companies. Presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democrat from Vermont, said he’d vote against Califf’s confirmation because of the nominee’s ties to drug companies. Califf has been a consultant for a number of big pharma and medical device companies including AstraZeneca, Merck and Novartis.”
Thanks to the F.D.A., fish oil companies (including Zapata, once owned by the Bush family) are allowed to add both hydrogenated and partly hydrogenated “small planktivorous pelagic fish body oil (SPPFBO)” to the following products without the American public knowing zip about it …
cookies, crackers, breads and rolls (light and dark), fruit pies, custard pies, cakes, baked goods and baking mixes, pastas, gelatins and puddings, sweet sauces, toppings, syrups, confections and frostings, jams and jelly, hard candy, soft candy, cereals, fats and oils (but not infant formulas), yogurt, milk products, cheese products, frozen dairy products and desserts, dairy product analogues, meat products, poultry products, egg products, fish products, condiments, plant protein products, soup mixes, snack foods, nut products, gravies, sauces, chewing gum, processed fruit juices, processed vegetable juices, nonalcoholic beverages, white granulated sugar, sugar substitutes, etc.
But Big Pharma wants its cut of the Fish Pie too.
According to “FDA to allow Amarin to promote fish oil pill for off-label use,” Business Insider, Mar. 8, 2016 …
“Amarin Corporation Plc [public limited company] can promote its fish-oil pill for unapproved uses after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration decided not to appeal a judge’s ruling that the company has the right under the First Amendment to make truthful and non-misleading statements about its products.”
According to Amarin Corporation …
“Vascepa® (icosapent ethyl), Amarin’s first FDA-approved product, is an ultra-pure, EPA-only omega-3 fatty acid product available by prescription.”
Amarin is doing its part to spread Yellow Fat Disease around the world.
The pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline’s Lovaza is their chief competitor.
A one-gram capsule of Lovaza contains 465 milligrams of EPA and 375 milligrams of DHA.
Also, thanks to biotechnology and isolated mutant clone lines, EPA and DHA can now be squeezed out of MICROALGAE.

What if fish isn’t the ideal food we’re told it is?
What if fish oil — just-made or completely rancid — is a poison for most of us?
What if so many tumors on so many pets are caused by polyunsaturated fatty acids?
What if so many well-meaning veterinarians are slowly killing so many pets by recommending fish oils?
Can cod liver oil kill your dog? Your cat? Your horse? Your chickens?
Can cod liver oil kill a human being?

How did SNG first come up with the solar eating style?!

During meditation, Adano asked for all his karma to be given to him all at once so he could be done with it.
Soon after his request, on June 22, 1955, a friend asked Adano to fix his antenna on the roof of his three-story house.
He fell off the roof.
Adano insisted, years later, “Yogananda pushed me off the roof.”
Adano managed to kick off far enough to avoid the concrete directly below. He landed on the grass, which saved his life.
Numbness threatened to rise above his nose, so he bit down hard on his thumb to stay conscious.
Adano was rushed to “The Vic” (Royal Victoria Hospital) with multiple compound fractures.
According to him …
“I fell off a roof and died three times on the operating table. I saw Yogananda and all the Saints. That’s when I found out I was immortal.”
While dead, Adano was given the choice between entering a brand-new body or staying in the one he already had.
He chose the familiar body, in spite of its many broken bones and the possibility of permanent paralysis.
Adano spent the first year and nine months of his “extension tour” (his words) in the hospital, a year and a half of it as what he called a “hospinaut” who was “hung up like a turkey on a spit.”
Mother Mary appeared to Adano while he lay paralyzed in his hospital bed.
She announced, “You will get well, but not dramatically.”
Adano was immediately able to move a single finger.
He shouted for joy, and the nurses came running.
Adano maintained he figured out the basic concepts of time-controlled eating (Solar Nutrition) while he was confined to a cast.
In his words …
“You learn humility pretty darn fast when you have to call a nurse with a bedpan every time you have to go to the bathroom.”
Adano suffered from painful gas due to his confinement, and he decided to find and eliminate the offending foods.
A nurse asked him what he wanted for breakfast, and Adano ordered one egg.
It gave him gas.
A nurse asked him what he wanted for lunch, and, again, he ordered a single egg.
More gas.
Adano was confident the egg was the problem, but just to make sure, he ordered an egg for dinner.
NO gas.
He repeated his experiment the next day, and the same thing happened again.
He suffered gas in the morning and midday, but NO gas in the evening.
By lunch on the third day, the nurses reported him to the doctor, who asked Adano why he was eating nothing but eggs.
Adano explained his experiment, and the doctor not only gave his permission, but was interested in the results.
Adano experimented with a variety of foods, and the idea for “Solar Nutrition” was incubated.
Adano later said, “It [Solar Nutrition] started with an egg in the hospital.”
“No, it didn’t,” interrupted Melissa Wolfe. “It started with a chicken.”
“Right,” grinned Adano. “A hen-pecked chicken!”

Amazing what a story thanks!
Asking for all your karma at once is pretty ballsy!
I guess it wouldnt take long to realise all the non gassy night time foods were roots, non gassy morning foods were from trees etc!
Thanks atom as always for your genorous answers!!
