Suck It Up, Buttercup?

Re: If your focus was to build the abdominal muscles, what exercises would you focus on and what time would you do them?

The best time to “shred” is from 9:00-11:00 a.m. (Spleen-Pancreas Time).

Shredded is bodybuilding lingo for well-defined with very low fat, along with synonyms like ripped, chiseled, sliced, torn, striated,

But the greatest obstacle to beach-ready V-taper and six-pack abs is the food we 21st Century humans stuff our faces with.

Central obesity is belly bloat, not belly fat.

Durk Pearson ate a high-calorie diet and exercised 30 seconds a day, achieving a 13 percent body fat level at the age of 37.

Sandy Shaw, coauthor of Life Extension with Durk Pearson, reduced her body fat with the same diet and exercising about three minutes a week.

Photos validating their physiques appear in Life Extension, pages 230-235, 654-655, 738-739, and 772-773.

Bear in mind that both Pearson and Shaw regarded DHA as toxic and pro-aging.

Unfortunately, although they must have been doing *something* right, they regarded growth hormone, L-arginine, L-ornithine, serotonin, niacin, BHT, HDL cholesterol, etc., as health and longevity promoters.

Having washboard abs and having strong abs are two entirely different things.

The leader of the pack when it comes to ab exercises is the Stomach Vacuum — sucking in the belly button to make it touch the spine.

It’s impossible, but it’s a good mental image to inspire a reasonable proximity.

“Suck it up, buttercup!” as drill sergeants and boy scout leaders used to yell decades before Arnold Schwarzenegger and Frank Zane repopularized the exercise.

It exercises the transverse abs, the deepest abs hardest to reach with other exercises like crunches and planks.

However, never forget, concave abs are created by the right food eaten at the right time for the right results.

The best way to flatten a tummy is by doing whatever it takes to avoid Yellow Fat Disease, something I’ve written about in numerous One Radio Network and Sun Sync Nutrition blog entries.

“The blood drives the heart, not the heart the blood,” according to Rudolf Steiner.

    <>

Blushing and flushing of the face and chest moves blood through the skin and involves the heart, but the heart doesn’t cause skin to redden.

The liver blushes when the skin blushes. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Liver injury causes facial blushing and flushing.

Flushing from drinking alcohol is an obvious clue.

So is flushing from niacin, which, in excess, can cause liver damage (as well as kidney and stomach damage and waterlogged tissues).

Nicotine narrows blood vessels, while niacin widens them.

    <>

The liver moves blood, yet no doctor connects the hepatic cycle with a liver-beat, but almost all doctors connect the cardiac cycle with a heartbeat.

Heart-On Time is Heart Time (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.), when the heart and the arteries have their time in the sun.

Hard-On Time is Heart Governor Time (7:00-9:00 p.m.), also known as Circulation-Sex Time, when the liver and veins have their time in the moon.

Men are accustomed to saying, “My heart beats for you,” not, “My liver beats for you.”

    <>

Is erectile dysfunction a sign of heart disease, or is it a portent of liver disease?

Alcohol causes more liver damage than it does heart injury, yet the heart is a classic scapegoat for E.D.

Testosterone does nothing for a man’s hard-on if he has alcohol-related liver disease, but quitting the bottle works wonders.

A tree has no heart, but it’s a master of morning, midday, and evening “wood.”

Nocturnal penile erections and nocturnal clitoral erections start in the womb, so boners begin months before birth.

Nicholas Lee, M.D. (“The Heart Is Not a Pump,” Journal of Anthroposophical Medicine, Spring 1996) wrote …

“Two of the main embryological observations have been that the blood starts circulating before the heart has been fully formed and that it circulates in a spiraling fashion, as in the single-stage tube heart of the chick before the valves have developed.”

I might still be in this group now. I notice at times, that even when I’m “pretty focused” on an activity, I’ll suddenly notice that ever so quietly there is some other focus towards this feeling of being watched or how I would be seen doing said activity, and lo’ and behold my right eye is looking slightly off to the left.

99 percent of our “thoughts” are the recycled thoughts of others, many of these “thoughts” being passed on from parent to child.

Consciousness is a monitoring function, the ability to trace thoughts beck to their origin in the environment.

Beingness is beyond consciousness, and can’t be “colored” by thinking.

I Am that I Am is beyond I Think, therefore I Am, which is really I Think that I Am, therefore I Think I Am.

“If one thing could be different, everything could be different.” — Gurdjieff

Going back to the origin, since consciousness does this act…does it happen naturally? How would one be in a place where they could trace is without thought. Lol I’m asking like I need to assist consciousness…

          • September 30, 2016 @ 2:36 pm Atom

We are born with consciousness till it’s turned down by cultural constraints.

Clearing cognitive shocks allows consciousness to shine through the clouds that hide it.

Consciousness is always present (now). It’s the clouds that don’t allow us to experience it.

Did we ever find out if master Chen went vegan?!

    • September 23, 2016 @ 5:45 pm Atom

      Not yet. Anyone else know?

      • September 27, 2016 @ 1:47 pm Amber

I was watching a video of his recent Sunday sermons and he mentioned veganism for diet. He didn’t specifically say, “I am vegan” though I inferred so =)

        • September 27, 2016 @ 10:04 pm Atom

I’ve been told that Master Chen went vegan.

He ate his first salad when he got to the U.S.
